For ID 9774 We are found mailbox using Fid (folder ID) number via Besadmin. And after that move mailbox with corrupted mail to another DB in another Store and after that move it back. For ID 1025 1. Check if Microsoft Exchange Search Indexer in started status. 2. Restart Information Store service. 3. Dismount First Storage Group\Mailbox Database and mount again. server has been restarted to do all 3 steps. So far so good. Function name or description of problem: SLINK::EcUpdate Error: 0x8004010f The above error popped up once this morning on my Exchange 2K https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21170636/SLINK-EcUpdate-Error-0x8004010f.html Server, didn't notice it at all until the end of the day. I took a look at the MS KB on the issue and did the following: 1) Ran an eseutil /g which reported NO curruption 2) Ran the offline defrag anyway to recreate the db 3) Ran some diags on my HD's to check for any I/O problems, no issues here 4) Ran a Full backup of the information store Question is, if my database wasn't currupt and the eseutil /g came up clean, why did I get this message? Also, if curruption DID come up, the MS instructions say to simply run the defrag. Does running the defrag actually repair the database? I thought you had to use the repair switch to do that. A user deletes an unread e-mail message that has a read receipt requested. In this situation, Microsoft Exchange tries to generate a non-read notification message by using the credentials of the operating system. However, Exchange does not have sufficient permissions to generate the non-read notification message because the computer account has an error occurred database explicit Deny permission for the Receive As permission assigned. Therefore, both of the event ID 1025 events that are mentioned in the "Symptoms" section are logged in the Application log. By default, the computer account for the Exchange server has an explicit Allow permission for the Full Control permission assigned. Note In a clustered Exchange environment, all the cluster node computer accounts have an explicit Allow permission for the Full Control permission assigned. One of the rights that is granted by this explicit Allow permission for the Full Control permission is the Receive As permission. Additionally, the computer account for the Exchange server is a member of the Exchange Domain Servers group. The Exchange Domain Servers group inherits the Deny permission for the Receive As permission. Assume a situation where you change the inherited Deny permission for the Receive As permission for the Exchange Domain Servers group to an explicit Deny permission for the Receive As permission for the computer account for the

Previous Thread Next Thread Loading... 0/5, 0 votes RGF2aWQuRw Guest I received about 1,000 of these error messages in my Application logs over a 2-minute time period on my Exchange 2003 Server: -----------------------Source: MSExchangeIS Mailbox Store Category: General Event ID: 1025 Description: An error occurred on database "First Storage Group\Mailbox Store (%SERVERNAME%)". Function name or description of problem: SLINK::EcUpdate Error: 0x8004010f ------------------------From my research, all signs are pointing to corruption in the exchange database...although after those errors stopped, everything is functioning normally...(and has been for 3 days...no more errors) To be safe, my plan of attack, is as follows: 1. Perform FULL Backup. 2. Dismount the store. 3. Perform a integrity check with eseutil.exe /g 4. Perform an offline defrag with eseutil /d priv1.edb 5. Run an integrity check against the database with "isinteg -s morpheus -test alltests " 6. If errors are reported, then isinteg with the "-fix" option will be used 7. Remount the store. 8. Reboot 9. Run Updates & Reboot 10. Perform FULL Backup Now my questions... Is my order of attack correct? Is it necessary to run the eseutil /g? Since these errors have stopped, is it necessary to do anything to it at all? P.S. I also verified permissions at the server-level...and everything is good Thanks in advance!!
