Solved Exchange 2010 Blackberry BIS stopped working Posted on 2012-08-25 Exchange Microsoft IIS Web Server BlackBerry Prog 2 Verified Solutions 10 Comments 1,753 Views Last Modified: 2012-09-05 A few days ago, one of our domain controllers jumped ahead 6+hrs in time. We solved that issue and all other pain in the rear resulting issues, except one. Ever since then, our Exchange 2010 server will no longer talk to any Blackberry via BIS. When we try to setup a blackberry via BIS, we get the message "an error occurred during email account validation". Things you need to know and things we've tried: 1) OWA works internally and externally. 2) iPhones/Droids work just fine. 3) Outlook Anywhere works fine. 3) https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer results are completely successful. 4) https://owaservername/ews/exchange.asmx tests are completely successful. 5) We have restarted Exchange and IIS services (many times for IIS after many changes/tests). 6) We have rebuilt EWS virtual directories. 7) We have tested disabling the Windows firewall. 8) We have tried changing EWS authentication types many times (Basic, Windows, Combination). 9) We have called RIM. They could not get it working. 10) Building a BES is not an option. We have so few BB users, that I only want to provide BIS support....which has been fine and working for some time. Yes, I've setup BES before, and I know I could have done so by now. I hate BES. Well, now I hate BIS as well. 11) We have not tried firing all of the employees that continue to use BB. Thanks for any help you might offer. 0 Question by:-Ponderer Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 33 Best Solution byExchange_Geek With so much work already put into place, it is now going to be a challen

Well it was, I've moved some users to the 2010 box with blackberries (iphones working fine) and I can't get it working with BIS (blackberry internet services) Whatever settings I try I get a An error occurred during email account validation. Please check your information and try again. If the error persists please contact your System Administrator. error. I'm using http://mail.mydomain.com/owa url, which works fine and http://serverfault.com/questions/387836/blackberry-internet-services-with-exchange-2010 the authentication settings I'm trying (username / password) work fine in owa. Close to the point of pulling my hair out on this issue, is there a way to find out what it's failing on? Have I missed something very simple? Do I have to? –Tom Beech May 10 '12 at 10:28 I typically do, but I also have redirects in place. Try the suggestions below. –ewwhite May 10 '12 at 10:30 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote Did you try the http and https URLs? Also see if you can see the Exchange Web Services directory: (input a username/password) `http://mail.maildomain.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx` `https://mail.maildomain.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx` You should get an XML page after successful authentication. share|improve this answer answered May 10 '12 at 10:29 ewwhite 151k47298576 I've tried now with and without and it works (in owa) and EWS works fine, but EWS isnt the link that goes in BIS settings yeah? –Tom Beech May 10 '12 at 10:30 No, that's not the link you'd use. Just a validation of your EWS directory accessibility. Did you try this without the "owa" portion of the URL? &n
