Right now Minecraft will only start if I have the -Xms1G JVM argument; if I try to increase it, I get the error: Error occurred during initialization of VM Could not reserve enough space for 2097152KB object heap. It sounds like either I don't have error occurred during enough RAM available, or there's a program keeping Minecraft from taking up that much RAM. However, I have 8GB of RAM, so I have way more than enough. Does anyone have any ideas on what's keeping me from increasing the amount? minecraft share|improve this question edited May 1 '15 at 0:39 Aequitas 12.7k94392 asked May 1 '15 at 0:02 Tandorvir 4113 I have had the same problem and I have 4 (3.9 Available) GB of RAM –Eisler 485 May 1 '15 at 0:28 4 Windows Mac Linux??
