I error occurred during initialization of vm unable to load native library am able to execute java.exe successfully if am overwriting path environment variable to the jdk\bin folder.. But. if am setting along with existing path variable, i am getting

The rt.jar file was missing for some reason. Uninstalled and reinstalled the JRE and now Tomcat works. I fixed it by changing the path to the JVM from C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\server\jvm.dll to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk
