Solved DSREVOKE will not work to report security (500pts) Posted on 2008-08-25 OS Security Active Directory Windows Server 2003 1 Verified Solution 3 Comments 1,160 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-04 I am trying to use DSREVOKE to detail the permissions that users have on our active directory. I downloaded the http://microsoft.public.windows.server.active-directory.narkive.com/YYI3x2F6/dsrevoke-error program and have it on one of our test domain controllers. I am running the command line but it keeps giving errors. So far I have tried the following dsrevoke /report domain\user This returns the following error - No ACEs for domain\user dsrevoke /report /root:ou=test,dc=domain domain\user This returns the following error - Error occurred in finding ACEs dsrevoke /report /domain:domain.com domain\user This returns the following error - No ACEs for domain\user What am I doing wrong here? 0 Question https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/23675355/DSREVOKE-will-not-work-to-report-security-500pts.html by:Joseph Daly Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 19 Best Solution byjss1199 This behavior will occur if the number of OUs in the domain is greater than the MaxPageSize setting (default is 1000) Since OUs are arranged according to their creation dates, the OUs added after you Go to Solution 3 Comments LVL 19 Overall: Level 19 Windows Server 2003 10 Active Directory 4 OS Security 3 Message Accepted Solution by:jss11992008-08-25 This behavior will occur if the number of OUs in the domain is greater than the MaxPageSize setting (default is 1000) Since OUs are arranged according to their creation dates, the OUs added after you surpassed 1000 are missing or have missing ACEs. That wasnt the problem. I actually figured out the problem. I was putting in user names expecting that it would generate the ACE's based on what groups the user was in. I actually had to run it against each security group instead of a user. Once I did that it worked fine. 0 LVL 35 Overall: Level 35 Active Directory 18 Windows Server 2003 17 OS Security 5 Message Author Comment by:Joseph Daly2008-08-27 Please refund the points for this question.
