When you say ClockworkMod APP, what exactly are you talking about? I am not familiar with an application by that name. If you're referring to ClockworkMod Recovery, that's not an app. It's a recovery image that works outside the phone's operating system, designed to be accessed in the direst of circumstances - or when you want to flash a new ROM, replacing the operating system completely. To do that, you H
KacieB, Dec 27, 2010. KacieB Members Trophy Points: 0 I'm running the new official 12.24 release and I've gotten a few FC's while running it. I read somewhere that you can go in and "fix permissions" and this often helps with this problem. Well, I click on https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/fix-permissions-error-occurred-while-attempting-to-run-privileged-commands.1831/ Fix Permissions in ROM Manager I get the following error: "An error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands." I have no idea what's causing this. I was getting a message in ROM Manager that a new CWM recovery was available so http://www.galaxynexusforum.com/forum/rescue-squad/5000-unlocked-rooted-unable-re-flash-clockworkmod-recovery-error-nessage.html I downloaded that and it hasn't made a difference. I also read that this could be an issue with the BusyBox version. I have updated that thru Titanium and I'm still having trouble. Anyone have any ideas??? ETA: this is the first error occurred time I've run MIUI with a different kernal - currently using the "superior battery" one but I usually use Koush's test kernal #2. Could a kernal cause this problem? 2nd edit: just tried flashing the other kernal and I have the same problem. Guess that answers that! I'll try both those things. I cant uninstall because it says its a system app. Cant uninstall through terminal emulator because Im getting FC's everytime I open. dlm4849, Dec 28, 2010 #5 KacieB Members Trophy Points: 0 When I originally installed 12.24 I did a full wipe - that's when fix permissions stopped working. I restored 12.11 and flashed 12.24 over it - so far everything is working beautifully. Could the full wipe have been the problem? Obviously unable to load a ROM without this step. Any ideas? Followed the toolkit to the letter. Sprint Nexus.
