I have my phone rooted http://www.droidforums.net/threads/frg22d-error-occurred-while-attemping-to-run-privileged-commands.80406/ and When I go to use the Rom manager I need to install ClockworkMod Recovery, when I go to install it, I get the error: "An error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands!" I don't know much about linux but I have been doing some research, is this because I have the FRG22D update? If so What do I have to do to use my rooted phone to its rooting capability? Thanks in advance #1 inthrewtheoutdor, Sep 13, 2010 Dave12308 Silver Member Joined: Nov 15, 2009 Messages: 3,253 Likes Received: 50 Trophy Points: 113 Ratings: +50 stock FRG22D rooted won't have busybox installed. IIRC, busybox is required for ROM manager to work its magic. Easiest way I can think of to install busybox is to install the free version of Titanium Backup - there's a built in option to install busybox right on Titanium's main screen, it's labelled "Problems?" #2 Dave12308, Sep 13, 2010 fuzzylojak New Member Joined: Sep 26, 2010 Messages: 10 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 1 Ratings: +0 I know its someone elses topic but I cant find a solution... KacieB, Dec 27, 2010. KacieB Members Trophy Points: 0 I'm running the new official 12.24 release and I've gotten a few FC's while running it. I read somewhere that you can go in and "fix permissions" and this often https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/fix-permissions-error-occurred-while-attempting-to-run-privileged-commands.1831/ helps with this problem. Well, I click on Fix Permissions in ROM Manager I get https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidQuestions/comments/m1omq/an_error_occurred_while_attempting_to_run/ the following error: "An error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands." I have no idea what's causing this. I was getting a message in ROM Manager that a new CWM recovery was available so I downloaded that and it hasn't made a difference. I also read that this could be an issue with the BusyBox version. I have updated that error occurred thru Titanium and I'm still having trouble. Anyone have any ideas??? ETA: this is the first time I've run MIUI with a different kernal - currently using the "superior battery" one but I usually use Koush's test kernal #2. Could a kernal cause this problem? 2nd edit: just tried flashing the other kernal and I have the same problem. Guess that answers that! I'll try both those things. Thanks for replying KacieB, Dec 27, 2010 #3 warttack Guest Check superuser app to see if you accidentally denied access to rom manager that might be the reason Sent from my HTC Incredible using the miui-dev.com Forums App MIUI warttack, Dec 28, 2010 #4 dlm4849 Members Trophy Points: 0 Same here. I cant uninstall because it says its a system app. Cant uninstall through terminal emulator because Im getting FC's everytime I open. dlm4849, Dec 28, 2010 #5 KacieB Members Trophy Points: 0 When I originally installed 12.24 I did a full wipe - that's when fix permissions stopped working. I restored 12.11 and flashed 12.24 over it - so far everything is working beautifully. Could the full wipe have been the problem? KacieB
