When clicking on it (no matter if via tab or tree structure) I only get (German!) message saying: 'Es ist ein Fehler aufgetreten.' (An error has occurred). Now it is impossible for me to start or stop services via GUI. I have the feeling anyway, that the GUI does not read the settings or the state of the system on every boot, but relies on what's written in the db. This is how inconsistencies might occur (I had this once in the last couple of hours when trying to delete a volume). But I already installed from scratch afterwards. History #1 Updated by William Grzybowski over 5 years ago Hello, Thanks for your report. We need a way to reproduce this, though.Without the exact procedures it is almost impossible to find the issue. We have been trying to create shares/volumes and destroying them but it does not seem to be enough. #2 Updated by sbx - over 5 years ago Hi william thanks for responding so quickly. I cannot reproduce this either. But there seems to be a problem with the database being kept consistent with the state of the system (don't know how to exactly describe th

Updated almost 5 years ago. Status:ClosedStart date:Priority:ImportantDue date:Assignee:John Hixson% Done:0%Category:BackendTarget version:- Seen in: Hardware Configuration: ChangeLog Entry: Description Hi guys, I just installed RC-5 and it seems I can't create a Unix share. I have done all the basic system & network configuration and volume creation and have a share created and authenticating with AD, but when I go to "Add Unix Share" I simply get a FreeNAS pop-up window error occurred that says "Sorry, an error occurred". I have the NFS service started. -Will History #1 Updated by Josh Paetzel over 5 years ago Status changed from Unscreened to Fix In Progress This may have something to do with AD. The NFS share dialog attempts to fetch the users and groups available to the system for use in the maproot and mapall sections. If this is the problem switching off AD will allow the page to load properly. Firefox + Firebug will give access some error occurred to the underlying django traceback which will be useful in troubleshooting. Are other aspects of AD working as expected? #2 Updated by survive - over 5 years ago Hi John, I did a quick install last night just to check and see how things were coming along. I have AD authentication set up and it appears that my users are being imported properly. AD was a bit crabby about importing them, I had to actually reboot for it to come up & get the users. I'll have to look at it more thoroughly tonight. I'll disable the AD service & see if that changes anything. I'll also run a "freenas-debug" & see how things look there. I did speak to one user on IRC last night who saw the same behavior. I believe he runs AD auth as well. -Will #3 Updated by survive - over 5 years ago Hi jhixson, As john requested I disabled the Active Directory service and was able to get the Unix share creation window. I have installed firebug, but don't know what to do with it....if you can tell me what you need I would be happy to provide it. -Will #4 Updated by survive - over 5 years ago Hi jhixson, As john requested I tried getting a traceback using Firefox + Firebug. Attached is the what I think is the error. -Will #5 Updated by John Hixson over 5 years ago Hi Will, In Firebug, if you could click
