Raid 0 Error Occurred Windows 7
my RAID 0 is now reporting this error: "Error Occurred(0)" I googled for this error message and found only one other person that reported this error and his screen snapshot is nearly identical to my problem. http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1132761
Raid Error On Boot Up
None of the responses that I read in that thread were helpful to me. Using Western Digital diagnostic tools, I tested each drive and no errors in either drive were discovered. Chkdsk also reported no errors. From the time I first observed this error message some days ago, the computer has been working without any apparent problems (boots up and runs just fine) but the error message is driving me nuts. What does it mean? It 'might' be that one of the drives has developed a SMART error. Years ago when the WD 36gig Raptors first came out, I had two iof them running in a RAID 0 array. My symtoms were slightly differenrt than your, mine would randomly lock up. Usually re-booting the system got it going again but I could never find the problem. One of the thing I did notice, was that none of the programs I tried could read the SMART status of either drive. After a while, I finally decided to change to a single

Ssd Raid Error Occurred (0)
22 March 2008 19:45:06 Hi guys, I have just experienced my first blue screen crash intel matrix storage console in Vista64 while performing some dvd duplication . After the PC rebooted, it could not find the hard drives. Going into the Intel raid management software Matrix Storage Manager it had the RAID Volume as such: ID-0 Name - RAID0 Level - RAID0 (STRIPE) STRIP - 128kb Size - 931.5GB Status - FAILED Bootable - NO I've read several threads around here and elsewhere http://www.wirelessforums.org/alt-comp-hardware/error-occurred-0-raid-0-what-does-mean-14336.html to perform the deletion of the RAID Volume and re-creating the RAID volume as it was. Now status is detected as normal and bootable. Yet no hard drive is detected after a system reboot. I've also booted with Seagate's SeaTools diagnostic program and ran both short and long tests and both hard drives passed the tests. Am I wrong to believe that my data is still present? Or at the very least the hard drives aren't damaged http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/245428-32-recover-raid-failure in any way? I'm at a loss as how next to proceed and as one can see, I am completely clueless about this so if anyone can take the time to guide me through this issue and anyone else who could provide tips, advice and suggestions to avoid this situation in the future, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, paptimus More about : recover raid failure boonality 22 March 2008 21:31:46 Unfortunately unlike all other versions of RAID, when a RAID 0 fails you must recreate it. With RAID 1 for example you could just blow away the raid config and recreate it after reseating a disk and it would rebuild. johneng 22 March 2008 23:34:44 Just thought I'd mention my RAID 0 worked great for a year on a dual boot system mainly using XP. one day I booted up with Vista after about 1 hour it notified me of a RAID controller problem and comp would not boot up after that both drives are working fine on their own. Hi, I have a PC with Asus P9X79 Deluxe motherboard. It has Intel chipset and Intel BIOS RAID (RSTe) and 6 SATA ports connected to it. The chipset IDE controller lists in Linux as: Intel Corporation C600/X79 series chipset SATA RAID Controller (rev 06), and the PCI ID is: 0104: 8086:2826 (rev 06). My RAID configuration is 2xOCZ-VERTEX4 256GB SSD's in RAID0, as boot drive (C: drive), and 2 (quite old) WDC WD2500KS 250GB disks in RAID0 for extra storage (games, movies etc) (J: drive). So yesterday I decided to upgrade my Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 10 Pro. All seemingly went well during the upgrade process, and the system booted fine, and most stuff seemed to work as it should. But after a while when I accessed files on the J: drive I started experiencing random (temporary) freezes. Then after a while it got more serious and the whole system froze, I had to hit the reset button. So I rebooted and looked in the event log, I get see tons of errors there saying that the disk has a bad sector. Then I try using the J-drive again, by viewing some videos there, and it works fine, but after a while there are some freezes and then I see in the event log, that the drive was reset. After this it works again for a while but then another of those resets comes, and freezes everything for a short while (like 30 seconds). But when I try to copy some large files off the J-drive, another reset comes, and then the event log starts showing a lot of the error messages from before, with "the disk has an bad sector". (I will post screenshots of these errors after I reboot back into Windows). After this I can't access the J-drive at all, and Windows gives me error messages when I try to. So, I figure that I might have just got unlucky and the old WDC drive actually developed read errors, although it's strange that it happens exactly when I install Windows 10 (these drives are something like 7 years old). Well I can't copy the contents off the disk from Windows since it keeps failing as described above, so I boot into Ubuntu Linux from a USB stick, so I can us
