Error Occurred (0) Hard Drive
problem could be with one of the drives. I restarted the system and entered the RAID configuration menu. One of the drives was indicated as having a SMART Event(0).After some searching online, I thought it would probably be best to replace the drive which was indicated as having the SMART event. After replacing the drive and restarting the

system, I initiated the rebuild process from the RAID setup menu.Long story short... there have been several additional Blue Screen shutdowns. (None with the iastor message.)Looking at the RAID configuration menu, the drive which was part of the original RAID1 setup is indicated as "Error Occurred(0)" in the setup menu, with the RAID status as "Degraded".I'm interested in knowing if this is common. Do I now need to replace the second original drive? (The new drive was a Seagate that was similar to the one removed. It was the same type of drive (SATA), and the size was the same (931.5GB); but it was a different height (thinner). I asked at BestBuy when I purchased it and was told that as long as it is SATA and the same size I should be good.Any thoughts?ThanksJeff 13632Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Raid 0 Error Occurred Windows 7
Posts: n/a "Error Occurred(0)" with RAID 0. What does it mean? During boot up, one of my two week old hard disks raid error on boot up in my RAID 0 is now reporting this error: "Error Occurred(0)" I googled for this error message and found only one other person that reported this error and his screen snapshot is nearly identical to my https://communities.intel.com/thread/42228 problem. http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1132761 None of the responses that I read in that thread were helpful to me. Using Western Digital diagnostic tools, I tested each drive and no errors in either drive were discovered. Chkdsk also reported no errors. From the time I first observed this error message some days ago, the computer has been working without any apparent problems (boots up and runs just fine) but the error message is driving me nuts. http://www.wirelessforums.org/alt-comp-hardware/error-occurred-0-raid-0-what-does-mean-14336.html I have two of these disks: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200KS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA RAID 0 with Intel Matrix Storage Manager Motherboard: ASUS P5B-E (latest BIOS installed). What does it mean? It 'might' be that one of the drives has developed a SMART error. Years ago when the WD 36gig Raptors first came out, I had two iof them running in a RAID 0 array. My symtoms were slightly differenrt than your, mine would randomly lock up. Usually re-booting the system got it going again but I could never find the problem. One of the thing I did notice, was that none of the programs I tried could read the SMART status of either drive. After a while, I finally decid

So basically I noticed the problem when I overclocked my system to 3.5Ghz, which I think was stable as I ran prime95 for a good 13 hours. But when I loaded up Left 4 Dead, it crashed error occurred (0) about 20 minutes in giving me the BSOD. On rebooting there was an error shown within my RIAD array showing this. I noticed this was obviously not right, yet my system booted and was fine for "normal" activities (I put my system at its default clocks). Anyway my system is fine, accept when I am gaming and it just does the same as before and crashes during game. The sound goes first like it can't process it fast enough and then crashes. I have ran the "HD Tune Test" and there is no bad sectors, yet when reading around people have ran a program called "Intel Matrix Console" so I ran this program and it showed this. So from what others have said I believe I have to replace the broken hard drive. If this is true I was wondering weather I could take an ISO image of my current system and then just get a new hard drive and then burn it to my new RAID array. I hope you guys can clarify my current problem and any help is greatly appreciated, I am going to head of to bed now as I have been trying multiple things and I need sleep, so I will read your responses tomorrow Dec 4, 2009 at 2:30 AM #2 AsRock TPU addict Joined: Jun 23, 2007 Messages: 14,307 (4.20/day) Thanks Received: 3,794 Location: US Syste

If this is chipset raid for AMD you'll want to install AMD's RaidXpert and for Intel its RST (rapid storage technology) And as always, your important data should always have backup copies on other devices available. m 0 l Design1stcode2nd 2 January 2014 00:40:35 Looks like the raid software I have is Intel Matrix Storage Console. Step 1 is always grabbing a current backup of your important data. If you dont have a seperate pc to test on, Download WD or Hitachis drive diagnostic DOS ISO tool and burn yourself a test disk. Leave the disk in the DVD drive , you'll be booting from it in a minute. Reboot the pc into bios and change the sata mode to ahci. and select the dvd drive as the boot device. Reboot and run the full/extended test. This will take about 2hrs per drive if I remember right. If the drives test good then enter the bios again and turn raid back on and make it the primary boot device. It should pick the
