An Error Occurred While Sending The Message. Host Has Not Been Found
- "an error occurred while delivering this message" is what I think the OP is referring to.Make sure that your password and username are correct and filled in - including in the Outgoing Mail Server section of the mail settings - tap the arrow next to smtp.xxx.com (whatever it says there) and then tap the arrow next to smtp.xxx.com (whatever it says there) under the primary server Setting. Even if it says that the username and password are optional, fill it in anyway. If that doesn't work, restart the iPad and see if you can send mail then.Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. If that doesn't work, delete the email account and then start all over and add it back into the mail settings. If that does not work then try deleting your mail account from device, then add it back & restart device. share|improve this answer edited Sep 27 '14 at 8:00 JakeGould 2,41731332 answered Sep 27 '14 at 7:49 k1r8r0wn 4352625 add a comment| up vote 1 down vote Try the following suggestions: Check if you've access to internet (or change the network). Reboot the device by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears. Check if you've your Mail configured in Settings correctly. Check your authentication details and server if it's correct. Check 'Use SSL' option if it's required or not for the e-mail. Use different app for mailing (such as GMail). We had http://www.tomsguide.com/forum/id-975050/iphone-active-sync-exchange.html it working for several days, then he installed SSL on the server and we no longer can get it to work. I get a myriad of errors, either cannot get mail, connection to the server failed, or if I set up the phone differently, i get the error saying my password is incorrect, eventhough I know it is correct. Any help out there woudl be awesome as this is starting to wear on me. Probably too late at this point but make sure that your server name or IP address is set correctly and Use SSL is checked within the email settings of your exchange account on your iphone. If OWA is available to you then try to access that within the web browser. If you can't then it's probably a server side issue which your IT guy will have to resolve. m 0 l fuhoser May 6, 2010 2:08:13 PM Not too late. The server name is correct, ssl is on, and I can access OWA just fine from the iPhone. We've followed several tutorials and made sure that the correct ports are open... Is this a 3G and 2003 Exchange conflict? Also, sometimes, we get it all set up, everything seems fine, we get no errors, but emails dont come and my phone gets super hot and the battery drains in about 2 hours. Is this from the phone constantly trying to connect to the server? m 0 l Related resources Cant send email from Exchange Active Sync. - Forum iPhone Emulator/Simulator to Demonstrate Exchange Setup - Forum Iphone 4s 6.1.3 Exchange issues - Forum Two-way Sync Mobile to MS Exchange Public Folders - Forum iPhone won't sync.
