Going into the Intel Matrix Storage Manager it had the RAID Volume as such: ID-0 Name - raid 0 error occurred fix RAID0 Level - RAID0 (STRIPE) STRIP - 128kb Size - 931.5GB Status - FAILED Bootable - NO I've read several threads around here and elsewhere to perform the deletion of the RAID Volume and re-creating the RAID volume as it was. is detected as normal and bootable. Yet no hard drive is detected after a system reboot. I've also booted with Seagate's SeaTools diagnostic program and ran both short and long tests and both hard drives passed the tests. Am I wrong to believe that my data is still present? Or at the very least the hard drives aren't damaged in any way? I'm at a loss as how next to proceed and as one can see, I am completely clueless about this so if anyone can intel matrix storage manager error occurred 0 raid 1 take the time to guide me through this issue and anyone else who could provide tips, advice and suggestions to avoid this situation in the future, it would be greatly appreciated! With RAID 1 for example you could just blow away the raid config and recreate it after reseating a disk and it would rebuild. johneng 22 March 2008 23:34:44 Just thought I'd mention my RAID 0 worked great for a year on a dual boot system mainly using XP. one day I booted up with Vista after about 1 hour it notified me of a RAID controller problem and comp would not boot up after that both drives are working fine on their own. Ssd Error Occurred(0)
Posts: n/a "Error Occurred(0)" with RAID 0. What does it mean? During boot up, one of my two week old hard disks raid error on boot up in my RAID 0 is now reporting this error: "Error Occurred(0)" I googled for this error message and found only one other person that reported this error and his screen snapshot is nearly identical to my http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/245428-32-recover-raid-failure problem. http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1132761 None of the responses that I read in that thread were helpful to me. Using Western Digital diagnostic tools, I tested each drive and no errors in either drive were discovered. Chkdsk also reported no errors. From the time I first observed this error message some days ago, the computer has been working without any apparent problems (boots up and runs just fine) but the error message is driving me nuts. http://www.wirelessforums.org/alt-comp-hardware/error-occurred-0-raid-0-what-does-mean-14336.html I have two of these disks: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200KS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA RAID 0 with Intel Matrix Storage Manager Motherboard: ASUS P5B-E (latest BIOS installed). Intel ICH86/DO/DH SATA RAID Controller: Driver date: 5/11/06 Driver version: 6.0.0.1022 JMicron JMB36X Controller: Device type: SCSI and RAID controllers Manufacturer: JMicron Technology Driver date: 12/5/2006 Driver version: 1.17.8.1 Device manager reports no errors for either of the above controllers. XP Professional. All service packs and updates installed. Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can resolve this error message? #2 (permalink) 01-07-2007, 03:11 PM HDRDTD Guest Posts: n/a Re: "Error Occurred(0)" with RAID 0. What does it mean? It 'might' be that one of the drives has developed a SMART error. Years ago when the WD 36gig Raptors first came out, I had two iof them running in a RAID 0 array. My symtoms were slightly differenrt than your, mine would randomly lock up. Usually re-booting the system got it going again but I could never find the problem. One of the thing I did notice, was that none of the programs I tried could read the SMART status of either drive. After a while, I finally

Oct 27, 2011 #1 hypertek Gawd Messages: 585 Joined: Aug 17, 2006 So after a few years, one of my seagate baracuda 320gb is getting an error message upon boot up. DFI Blood iron p35 series.. Raid 0 has been my main setup for years and never really had any problems til now.. The system will boot but hang after error occurred load up.. So right now I got a old ps3 40gb sata drive with a backup copy of win7 running right now.. I tried to have this backup drive connected while the raid hard drives are connected, with the motherboard bios setting to raid.. yet when i try to boot win 7, it crashes and reboots right after the windows animation screen, Then I tried disconnecting the raid hard drives and left the spare (without touching the raid setup on the motherboard), and it crashest and reboots same thing, error occurred (0) So I am wondering if I can even run a non-raid sata drive, with raid 0 sata drives on the motherboard? Dont think this likes to boot with the motherboard set to raid even if the raid drives aren't connected . Maybe I have to go to a IDE hard drive main boot and then just the raid drives on the satas? Perhaps I can bug to borrow my mom's pc since it has a gigabyte motherboard on it which has 2 different sata ports, a jmicron set and a intel set. hypertek, Oct 27, 2011 hypertek, Oct 27, 2011 #1 Oct 27, 2011 #2 Old Hippie [H]ardness Supreme Messages: 6,013 Joined: Oct 31, 2005 First off, RAID0 is only as good as it's last back-up and anyone not heeding this simple advice will not be receiving the Einstein award this year. It looks to me that your array will not boot and you'll need to determine if one of the drives has failed completely or if it's a lesser problem. If both RAID drives can be seen by the BIOS you may have a shot but you'll need a bootable system using an Intel chipset. Do yourself a favor and read this article. Many people actually copy the array in the degraded form so when the first try screws-up, ya got another shot. I'd be getting that 40GB drive working and go from there. Maybe someone else will come along and give you better/easier advice but RAID0 recovery usually doesn't go well. Good Luck! Old Hippie, Oct 27, 2011 Old Hippie, Oct
