Intel Matrix Storage Manager Error Occurred 0 Raid 1
mean? During boot up, one of my two week old hard disks in my RAID 0 is now reporting this error: "Error Occurred(0)" I googled for this error message and found only raid 1 error occurred 0 one other person that reported this error and his screen snapshot is nearly identical to my problem. http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1132761 None of the responses that I read in that thread were helpful to me. Using Western Digital diagnostic tools, I tested each drive and no errors in either drive were discovered. Chkdsk also reported no errors. From the time I first observed this error message some ssd error occurred(0) days ago, the computer has been working without any apparent problems (boots up and runs just fine) but the error message is driving me nuts. I have two of these disks: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200KS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA RAID 0 with Intel Matrix Storage Manager Motherboard: ASUS P5B-E (latest BIOS installed). XP Professional. All service packs and updates installed. Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can resolve this error message? #2 (permalink) 01-07-2007, 03:11 PM HDRDTD Guest Posts: n/a Re: "Error Occurred(0)" with RAID 0. What does it mean? It 'might' be that one of the drives has developed a SMART error. Years ago when the WD 36gig Raptors first came out, I had two iof them running in a RAID 0 array. My symtoms were slightly differenrt t

So basically I noticed the problem when I overclocked my system to 3.5Ghz, which I think was stable as I ran prime95 for a good 13 hours. But when I loaded up Left 4 Dead, it crashed about 20 minutes in giving me the BSOD. On rebooting there was an error shown within my RIAD array showing this. I noticed this was obviously not right, yet my system booted and was fine for "normal" activities (I put my system at its default clocks). Anyway my system is fine, accept when I am gaming and it just does the same as before and crashes during game. The sound goes first like it can't process it fast enough and then crashes. I have ran the "HD Tune Test" and there is no bad sectors, yet when reading around people have ran a program called "Intel Matrix Console" so I ran this program and it showed this. So from what others have said I believe I have to replace the broken hard drive. If this is true I was wondering weather I could take an ISO image of my current s

Everything had worked fine for approximately 6 months. On first two restarts, RAID driver did not detect any hard drives connected to the system. On next restart RAID driver detected both hard drives and recognized an array. Windows booted but BSODed again upon opening Firefox and attempting to restore lost tabs. On next and several subsequent restarts RAID driver detects both hard drives but recognizes only one as a member of an array, and labeles the other 'ERROR OCCURED (0)'. Windows boots but Intel RST reports array failed and the 2nd drive inaccessible. However files fully accessible and computer seems to have full functionality. Before examing the issue further, I connected an identical pair of drives, used Intel RST to construct a RAID-0 array, then cloned the old volume to it using a bootable Acronis Disk Director cd. Clone completed without errors. With the old pair of drives disconnected, RAID driver detects the new pair fine, Windows boots and Intel RST reports no errors. Computer seems fully functional. So what kind of an error can cause a drive to simultaneously be accessible and inaccessible, cause BSODs but have no problem reading its whole 1 TB worth of contents, be alternatingly detectable and not detectable, and even affect whether another drive in the system is detected? 19590Views Tags: none (add) 64_bitContent tagged with 64_bit, raidContent tagged with raid, raid0Content tagged with raid0, windows_7Content tagged with windows_7, rstContent tagged with rst This content has been marked as final.
