(permalink) 01-07-2007, 02:11 PM John Guest Posts: n/a "Error Occurred(0)" with RAID 0. What does it mean? During intel rapid storage technology raid 0 failed boot up, one of my two week old hard disks in my RAID 0 is now reporting this error: "Error Occurred(0)" I googled for this error message and found only one other person http://superuser.com/questions/956113/repair-raid-after-bad-suspension-error-occurred-0 that reported this error and his screen snapshot is nearly identical to my problem. http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1132761 None of the responses that I read in that thread were helpful to me. Using Western Digital diagnostic tools, I tested each drive and no errors in either drive were discovered. Chkdsk also reported no errors. From the time I first observed this error message some days ago, the computer has http://www.wirelessforums.org/alt-comp-hardware/error-occurred-0-raid-0-what-does-mean-14336.html been working without any apparent problems (boots up and runs just fine) but the error message is driving me nuts. I have two of these disks: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200KS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA RAID 0 with Intel Matrix Storage Manager Motherboard: ASUS P5B-E (latest BIOS installed). Intel ICH86/DO/DH SATA RAID Controller: Driver date: 5/11/06 Driver version: 6.0.0.1022 JMicron JMB36X Controller: Device type: SCSI and RAID controllers Manufacturer: JMicron Technology Driver date: 12/5/2006 Driver version: 1.17.8.1 Device manager reports no errors for either of the above controllers. XP Professional. All service packs and updates installed. Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can resolve this error message? #2 (permalink) 01-07-2007, 03:11 PM HDRDTD Guest Posts: n/a Re: "Error Occurred(0)" with RAID 0. What does it mean? It 'might' be that one of the drives has developed a SMART error. Years ago when the WD 36gig Raptors first came out, I had two iof them running in a RAID 0 array. My symtoms were slightly differenrt than your, mine would randomly lock up. Usually re-booting the syste
Help needed. Raid 0 Error Occurred. Tags: Laptops NAS / RAID Last response: August 25, 2015 12:30 AM in Laptop Tech Support Share Barretto24 August 24, 2015 12:25:43 PM Raid 0 crash. Error Occurred. Rebuilt Array. Nothing on Laptop to back up (backed up via MsDos CMD panel in system boot/repair so system is Clean). Hey guys I have a real big problem with my raid 0 (Note I didn't want Raid 0 but it came preinstalled from dell) my laptop is an Alienware Mx17R3 running windows 7 home 1.5tb harddrive (2 750gb harddrives tied with Raid 0 to give 1 drive of 1.5tb) 16gb ram. 8gb memory. A number of months ago i was trying to dual boot my laptop and during installation my laptop crashed (BSOD) i reset my laptop and it booted with Raid 0 Physical Drive 0 error Occurred. Now the laptop boots. I have reinstalled windows and reset the array so both drive 0 and drive 1 read fine in green and I can do what I want on it for sometimes hours then all of a sudden the laptop will freeze causing me to force restart. Upon force restart the drive fails again. Now generally if the drive was carput surely I wouldnt be able to do anything with it? I am just needing some advice has the drive had it? I have rebuilt the array loads of times and as i said it can work for hours and then laptop freeze/forced restart leading to Error Occurred. I have currently deleted the Raid 0 array and tried installing on Non Raid for both drives to see if that works (at this point in time I just want to get my laptop working as i currently do not have the cash to splash with a wife out of work and a young son to look after) I am just looking for advice and to see if I can save it without having to fork out to get it fixed. Laptop is waaay out of warrenty and its a laptop I spend over 2k on before I was married. I want to fix it as it is a great laptop. Any help is great help.
