any help / advice on the following issue that is occuring within our Exchange Org. We are currently operating in a mixed mode environment 2003 / 2010. We have been operating for some monthswith one Public Folder on our Exchange 2003 server and one Exchange 2010 PF Database. In preparation for decommisioning our Exchange https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3017297 2003 PF server we added another Exchange 2010 PF replica to our infrastructure. The plan being to have PF resilience solely on our 2010 envionment before we get rid of the 2003 server. However upon commisioning this second server we have started to receive lots of errors in 'its' event log. These appear to simply be related to replicating the 'folder structure' as we have not actually https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/3a3cd29a-7cc2-41ca-92cd-065231cbc8a3/public-folder-replication-error-3091-msexchangeis-public-store-0x8004010f?forum=exchange2010 added any replicas to any folders yet. Each folder (but curiously not every single folder, just most of them) logs a MSExchangeIS Public Store / 3091event. The details of these events look like this: Error 0x8004010f occurred while processing an incoming replication message. Folder: (5-34E217C) \Tasks pending Obviously the folder name changes for each event. Would anyone have any explanation as to why this is occuring and / or how we may resolve it. we have had a search around but not found any answers at present. Just some old references to an Exch 2003 problem and to someone with a similar issue but without a response. Any help, much appreciated. need to rebuild information store" Next in thread: Chris Booth: "Re: More replication woes" Reply: Chris Booth: "Re: More replication woes" Messages sorted by: [ date ] [ thread ] Date: Fri, 14 Jan 2005 11:37:17 -0000 Back on the 10th I posted about replication issues. For some reason, I found both servers didn't agree on the stores which replicated the two PFs (both calendars) in question. So I have added them back in and they now agree that each server holds a replica. To re-cap: New Server (Wheelies) : Server 2003, Ex2003 Enterprise with SP1, Server is a DC, GroupShield 5.2, VirusScan 8.0 Old Server (Dastardly) : Server 2000, Ex2000 Enterprise with SP3, Server was a DC (demoted using DCPromo), GroupShield 5.2, NetShield 4.51 My mailbox is on the Ex2003 server and I have a test mailbox on the Ex2000 server. Mail messages go between the two fine (delivery is pretty much instant) The PF hierarchy seems to replicate fine in that I can add a new folder on the Ex2000 server and it appears on the Ex2003 Server. It also works in the other direction Content of this new folder replicates fine between both servers New / changed / deleted content in the problem PFs replicates without a problem. I can add an appointment from a mailbox homed on Ex2000 and it appears on the Ex2003. I can modify it from a mailbox on the Ex2003 and the changes arrive on the Ex2000. The problem seems to be on backfill requests. The number of items in PF "Implementation Cal" on Ex2000 Server is 1,989, on the Ex2003 Server 2,347. Back track to the week of of 9th June 2003 on Ex2000 server and the working week has approx 32 appointments. On the Ex2003 this week has 3 appointments. Hmmm! Likewise, from Monday 24th March 2003 on Ex2000 is 39 items, on Ex2003 it's 12 items. I've enabled message tracking and can watch messages leave from servername-IS on each server and then reach the other. Reviewing the SMTP server logs confirms this. When I view the message history in the MTC on the Ex2000, I do see two "errors" when the message reaches Ex2003 - "Unknown event with : X.400 event no 1033" - which is followed by "Unknow
