I want to remove a mailbox database that no longer exists as the server is gone. Please see exchange 2010 shared mailbox below. I have a virtual environment where the datastore that housed the exchange Server completely failed, drives and server. I rebuilt the exchange box and did a setup /m:RecoverServer and I now see that there is a dismounted mailbox database. I created a new database and it is mounted fine. My problem is that I cannot get the dismounted one to remove. The dismounted database does not phyically exist as per the failure noted above. Exchange Powershell also does not work on this system. I have a second exchange server that I had built so I could create a DAG and Powershell will work on it.Here is the Powershell error Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The WinRM client canno t process the request.
