I ran one yesterday and received these errors. There are three DC's: H3, H4 & H5. When logging into each of them, they show the other DC's in AD Domain Controllers. The domain appears to be working properly but how do I resolve these errors? Beginning data collection for replication summary, this dsa error 8524 may take awhile: ...... TECHNOLOGY IN THIS DISCUSSION Join the Community! Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now Earlier this week the domain controller/DNS server (Server 2003 standard... and yes...only one) started hanging a couple hours after a reboot. It continued this behavior for a day. I started the process of promoting one of the other Server 2003 to a DC. After following some great tutorials .... I set up the new AD and DNS however .... I surely did something wrong. After a few days of tweeking this .... trying that and as of this minute ..... it seems that only my Windows 7 machines are affected with an issue of not having startup scripts (batch files in sysvol) and cannot access certain drives even using \\servername\share. I can ping everything and it seems when i do a nslookup ... DNS is fine but something whacked. Here is a dcdiag .........
