Solution As Provisioning Services works over IP, the DNS entries are not required for any target machines to stream successfully. To resolve this issue, complete the following procedure: Delete any provisioned target machine DNS

records from the DNS server that contains private IP address. Start the provisioned target machine in Private mode. Clear Register this connection’s addresses in DNS on the provisioned streaming NIC only, as displayed in the following screen shot. Run ipconfig /flushDNS to remove any old DNS entries on the target and the Delivery Controller (Controller). Ensure that the Controller is reachable from the provisioned target on the first NIC address and same failed with status 1030 citrix xenapp the other way round with the correct IP address. Shut down the provisioned target and return to Standard Image mode from Private Image mode. The provisioned targets must now register using the correct IP address of the first NIC. Problem Cause After analyzing the issue, it was observed that the launch.ica file for the XenDesktop session appeared to contain a non-routable address. After verifying with the customer, it was confirmed that the address belongs to a secondary NIC on XenDesktop virtual machine that is used for streaming the image using Citrix Provisioning Services. This happened because the secondary NIC with a private address on the provisioned target machine was registered with the DNS server. The Connection to desktops failed with http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX135009 status (1030) Started by Lou Harley , 23 January 2014 - 04:23 PM Login to Reply 6 replies to this topic Lou Harley Members #1 Lou Harley 11 posts Posted 23 January 2014 - 04:23 PM I have a XenDesktop 7.1 rollout with 2 StoreFront servers load balanced on a netscaler - url sf.domain.com - when i https://discussions.citrix.com/topic/347286-the-connection-to-desktops-failed-with-status-1030/ browse to this i can successfully launch desktops. When coming from the outside I receive the 1030 generic error. My session policy is pointing me to https://sf.domain.com/citrix/mystoreweb properly. I have the appropriate certificate installed/configured. I have ports 1494, 80, 443 & 2598 from my VIP for Access Gateway open to both DDC - what could I be missing here? Thanks! 1316-347286-1794350 Back to top Carl Stalhood CTP Member #2 Carl Stalhood 9,901 posts Posted 23 January 2014 - 04:42 PM 1030 usually means one of the following: STAs are invalid. STAs on StoreFront don't match the STAs on the NetScaler Gateway. Firewall is blocking TCP 1494 and TCP 2598 from the NetScaler SNIP (not the VIP) to every internal VDA. StoreFront did not recognize it as a Gateway connection and is giving out the internal IP of the VDA instead of the gateway address. You can look in the ICA file to make sure it's trying to use the Gateway:http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX115304 1316-347286-1794356 Back to top Lou Harley Members #3 Lou Harley 1

Any ideas? 1351-255945-1501956 Back to top Paul Wagner Members #22 Paul Wagner 138 posts Posted 12 October 2010 - 03:35 PM As noted, this is a pretty generic error. However, I'll add my two cents:I usually see this error if there's something odd going on within my internal AD structure's ability to verify usernames/passwords or if something goes wrong with VMware vCenter (vSphere 4.1). Also... I'm not sure if this is a solution or not, but I used to load-balance all my DDC's but have since reassigned one cluster to handle WAN users and one to handle LAN users... They're VM's and don't use many resources so I figured that would take some issues out of the equation. 1351-255945-1502285 Back to top Duvan Izquierdo Members #23 Duvan Izquierdo 2 posts Posted 19 November 2010 - 01:12 AM I use a wired connection on my host to connect to my desktop group.
