I manage these servers as workgroup machines. The issue has gone unnoticed fora while. The issue is as follows. The Config Mgr agent is installed on all the servers but if failed to get client version for sending messages to fsp. error 0x80041010 you open it there are several things missing. Under the General tab somethings looks good except that it cannot detect the site mode , there is no site code(and it cannot detect it), there is no listed management point and connection type is set to currently internet. Under the components tab the components are listed as Installed but none are enabled. Under the ccmgetosversion failed with 0x80041010 ccmsetup Actions tab only two options are listed, Machine PolicyRetrieval& Evaluation Cycle and User PolicyRetrieval & Evaluation Cycle. Under the Advanced tab there is no site code set.In my Config Mgr console the servers are not listed at all, that could be because they have been removed because they are inactive after 90 days. There are several agents in the same subnet, in the same domain and forest that work fine. All the servers are 2008 R2 and have been deployed and installed from SCCM. I have two questions: How do I fix this and is it possible to detect these kind of issues? Hope someone can help :) Edit: Forgot to add that if you reinstall or try to repair the agent you get the following error message:Error 25001. I have ran the SCCM Client Center Repair WMI - That didn't work. I ran winmgmt /resyncperf, CD %windir%\system32\wbemfor /f %s in ('dir /b /s *.dll') do regsvr32 /s %sfor /f %s in ('dir /b *.mof') do mofcomp %s ?wmidiag?I ran Chkdsk and SFC /scannow?Any help would be appreciated! #1 jsandys Total Posts : http://www.myitforum.com/forums/Can39t-install-SCCM-2007-Client-m237864.aspx 1438 Scores: 131 Reward points : 71080 Joined: 3/24/2005Location: San Antonio, TX Status: offline Re:Can't install SCCM 2007 Client Wednesday, October 31, 2012 3:47 PM (permalink) 0 Have you reviewed clint.msi.log? 80004005 is a generic failure message that means you need to dig further to find the root cause. While WMI is certainly a usual suspect, you can't always assume it is in fact the culprit. Since it the big thing I notice people forget here,is that even though you are logged in as an administrator did you "run as admin"? Your system might be setup different, so you may not have to but sometimes we over look the obvoious... Also did you make sure any AV or Firewall were turned off?
