Be gentle I have setup my first Exchange 2003 server on Windows 2003 R2 and have an issue with my IMAP server. I am unable failed with to connect to my IMAP server using any user other than Administrator. I can at least confirm that my firewall is setup correctly and my IMAP is working but for some reason when i try to connect as a normal mailbox-enabled user it refuses the connection. The only place I can think of that addresses this issue is in ADUC under exchange features and i can confirm the user has IMAP enabled, failed with error any suggestions? Kind Regards Andrew Post #: 1 Featured Links* RE: IMAP Virtual Server Authentication - 5.Mar.2007 12:14:36 AM e_aravind Posts: 118 Joined: 6.Mar.2005 From: India Status: offline Can you compare/verify the settings of the IMAP4 v.server? ESM ==> Administrative Group ==> First Administrative Group ==> IMAP4 ==> Default IMAP4 Virtual Server ==> Properties Access ==> Authentication? All three boxes are ticked, so (basic authentication, requires ssl/tls , and simple auth and security layer) Other things of note this is a little test box that im using to familirise myself with exchange. So its a DC running exchange, i noticied this morning that only Adminitrator can login to the system as hes the only user allowed to logon interactively but that seems correct. Afterall i only want these users to access shared drives and mail.
