This network, as easy as it sounds to administrate, is a mess.... for getting some kind of order in it i want to rename all the workstations (win7) one after another by using the *netdom* command. I Installed the Supporttools and using this Command but i can't explain why that error occures.. Firewall is enabled but switching it off has no effect. Same error. Hope you guys got an idea. If somethings not clear or failed with you need more Information please ask. My english is a bit rusty but it should be understandable ;) Thanks for your help. Greetings A.P. Edit: I allready read all the other netdom related questions here but there was no usefull information for me Edited Aug 29, 2013 at 2:36 UTC Reply Subscribe RELATED TOPICS: Netdom help!! That command can be run directly from your AD Server, you may have to load the AD Powershell module first prior to running the above command but yes, if the PC is already joined, it should rename it. 0 Serrano OP APin Aug 30, 2013 at 6:09 UTC Ok nice thanks for your help, really appreciate it. WIll try your command and repost here. But i still want to know what caused my error. here. want to understand it. Greets A.P. 0 Serrano OP APin Aug 30, 2013 at 8:33 UTC Here is the result.... downloaded powershell 2.0 from official Microsoft website and installed on AD server. Im wondering why \v1.0\ is written there but im sure i choose the correct DL.... Whatever... maybe its a 'feature' instead of a bug. But it can't handle the -ComputerName parameter. 0 Pure Capsaicin OP Little Green Man Aug
