may create additional views for dealing with troublesome situations. The Oracle views v$XATRANS$ and V$PENDING_XATRANS$ may be created in order to help with diagnostics (they are created by running @?/rdbms/admin/xaview.sql). Another very good view is accessible at http://blog.tanelpoder.com/files/scripts/gtrans.sql. I usually change the join between sys.x$k2gte2 and v$session into LEFT JOIN as still it http://peoplesoft.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/peopletools-l/tuxedo-error-when-starting-appserver-890199 is possible to have on a database active distributed transactions not connected to any session. Update from 6 May 2014 Lately we have got a request to fix the cooperation between the Oracle RDBMS and the Tuxedo. The errors as following: 080307.tux24int!TMS_ORA.18176.1.0: 05-06-2014: Tuxedo Version http://remigium.blogspot.com/2012/11/xa-on-oracle-database.html 11.1.1.2.0, 32-bit 080307.tux24int!TMS_ORA.18176.1.0: LIBTUX_CAT:262: INFO: Standard main starting 080307.tux24int!TMS_ORA.18176.1.0: CMDTUX_CAT:409: ERROR: xa_recover() returned -3 for group ON1LT 080307.tux24int!TMS_ORA.18176.1.0: LIBTUX_CAT:250: ERROR: tpsvrinit() failed 080307.tux24int!tmboot.18147.1.-2: CMDTUX_CAT:825: ERROR: Process TMS_ORA at tux24int failed with /T tperrno (TPESYSTEM - internal system error) 080307.tux24int!TMS_ORA.18177.1.0: 05-06-2014: Tuxedo Version 11.1.1.2.0, 32-bit 080307.tux24int!TMS_ORA.18177.1.0: LIBTUX_CAT:262: INFO: Standard main starting 080308.tux24int!TMS_ORA.18177.1.0: CMDTUX_CAT:409: ERROR: xa_recover() returned -3 for group ON1LT 080308.tux24int!TMS_ORA.18177.1.0: LIBTUX_CAT:250: ERROR: tpsvrinit() failed 080308.tux24int!tmboot.18147.1.-2: CMDTUX_CAT:825: ERROR: Process TMS_ORA at tux24int failed with /T tperrno (TPESYSTEM - internal system error) Well, it seems that one needs some adjustments - of course this is possible it is our configuration, where the devil hides. Anyway despite the running the xaview script I also granted the privileges below to the user, which the Tuxedo connects to grant SELECT on SYS.DBA_PENDING_TRANSACTIONS to {schema}; grant EXECUTE on SYS.
an Oracle Tuxedo ATMI Application Using C Managing Errors This topic includes the following sections: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13161_01/tuxedo/docs10gr3/pgc/pgerr.html System Errors Application Errors Handling Errors Transaction Considerations Central Event Log http://oracle.veryoo.com/2013/09/libtuxcat-607-error-cannot-open-section.html Debugging Application Processes Comprehensive Example System Errors The Oracle Tuxedo system uses the tperrno(5) variable to supply information to a process when a function fails. All ATMI functions that normally return an integer or pointer return -1 or NULL, respectively, on error and set failed with tperrno() to a value that describes the nature of the error. When a function does not return to its caller, as in the case of tpreturn() or tpforward(), which are used to terminate a service routine, the only way the system can communicate success or failure is through the variable tperrno() in the requester. The tperrordetail (3c) failed with /t and tpstrerrordetail (3c) functions can be used to obtain additional detail about an error in the most recent Oracle Tuxedo system call on the current thread. tperrordetail() returns an integer (with an associated symbolic name) which is then used as an argument to tpstrerrordetail() to retrieve a pointer to a string that contains the error message. The pointer can then be used as an argument to userlog (3c) or fprintf(). For a list of the symbolic names that can be returned, refer to tperrordetail (3c) in the Oracle Tuxedo ATMI C Function Reference. tpurcode(5) is used to communicate user-defined conditions only. The system sets the value of tpurcode to the value of the rcode argument of tpreturn(). The system sets tpurcode, regardless of the value of the rval argument of tpreturn(), unless an error is encountered by tpreturn() or a transaction timeout occurs. The codes returned in tperrno(5) represent categories of errors, which are listed in the following table. Table 11-1 tperrno Error Categories Error Category tperrno Val
