Likes Received: 1 Hi All, I have been trying to install JAVA on my PC, and when I go to Java.com and try to download the latest version, I get an error message - 'Downloaded File Is installer dll createfile failed with error 32 Corrupt' The file is Java 7 Update 5. tried Firefox and Chrome too with the same error resulting. That should hopefully work, as it won't do the usual web-install . I have found this error in a search and apparently it results from the application data folder being redirected. The video poster is actually fixing a path file for Runescape private servers, but the fix should work for anything where Java needs to access it's own files. He talks fast and clicks fast, so you may have to watch it a couple of times or paus

To get around this, log in with an account that http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/55940-63-installer-wrapper-createfile-failed-error-access-denied does not have a folder redirection configured.
