Since I could get neither Lighttpd nor Apache to run, I tried Samba. After creating this simple /tmp/smb.conf (in /tmp because the Samba direc

problem. Recently I rebooted one of those servers and have the tree connect failed: nt_status_access_denied following problem: the join to the domain is OK but all user authentications fail. I mean nobody can samba anonymous share "connect" a share. The system I rebooted is half of a two node cluster, the other node with exactly the same configuration, up 230 days, (still?) works OK. As if http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-software-2/%5Bsamba%5D-tree-connect-failed-nt_status_wrong_password-4175479910/ something cached would get lost during reboot and couldn't be reestablished. These systems are: Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 4) samba3-winbind-3.0.24-33 samba3-3.0.24-33 I know, this version is a bit dated but haven't had any reason to upgrade. Below is a part of the logfile. It's far below my know-how to interpret it correctly. Something must have https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2009-May/148072.html changed on the domain controllers (what is very difficult to find out in this environment), I guess, and Samba cannot cope with. I would be very thankfull for any help. Thanks for your time.
