Norton Error 3051 1
Error: "3051,1" appears on my Norton product To fix this problem, you need to uninstall and reinstall your Norton product. Download and run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool to uninstall your Norton product. Download and run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool If you have Norton Family installed, uninstall it before you run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool. Download the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool. Save the file to the Windows desktop. On some browsers, the file is automatically saved to its default location. To open the Downloads window in your browser, press the Ctrl + J key. Double-click the NRnR icon. Read the license agreement, and click Agree. Click Remove & Reinstall. You may see the Remove Only button if your Norton product is from your service provider. Click Remove Only. Click Continue or Remove. Click Restart Now. Also, when attempting to open it. The errors are recurrent one after the other, and the program stops working. The error pop-up windows give the option to contact norton support. I did so, and after an hour of having a rep remote in, she/he (not sure what it was) said that there was no other troubleshooting to be done. Among other things, the rept did the following: - Removed all traces of Norton, using the NRT tool, manual registry deletions and searching system volume for traces. - Install 21.1 version again - After reboot, same errors. - Ran Windows update and installed MS Silverlight (dunno why) - After reboot, same errors. - Installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 x64 Redistributable (dunno why) - After reboot, same errors. With no other recourse, the rep suggested to contact Microsoft and start installing MS Visual C++ versions from scratch.
