I cannot start any services on a widows 2003 server. I am getting an irpstacksize error in event log:Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: Service Control ManagerEvent Category: NoneEvent ID: 7023Date: 07/02/2008Time: 08:36:38User: N/AComputer: EROSDescription:The IIS Admin Service service terminated with the following error: Not enough storage is available to process this command. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.This is the problem that I really need to resolve as I cannot start IIS and really need too but it is affecting almost everything.Event 7023 seems to be a general error and I have googles LOADS and cant find anything else.Any advice would be greatly appriciated! :-DThanks
 cluberti 5 Gustatus similis pullus 5 11,044 posts September 9, 2001 OS: Windows 10 x64 Country: Donor Posted February 7, 2008 Usually the "not enough storage available..." errors mean you are running out of one or more resources on the server, and usually this is a kernel pool resource (paged or nonpaged, not sure).I would strongly suggest uninstalling any backup software, antivirus packages, and anything else installed that instalsl kernel-mode filter drivers, then make the following change in your boot.ini file and the registry:boot.ini (make the changes in BOLD, obviously the install path in yours may be different than mine):[boot loader]timeout=30default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition

The code was adapted from here: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/14032/Chat-Client-Server The server seems to work fine. However, somehow the client cannot start the thread for receiving message. The GetLastError() function returns 8 when called. Here's a snippet of the http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19678078/c-createthread-error client code: #include "Chatter_Client.hpp" CMessenger MessObj; //...
