What are you actually trying to achieve ? Reports: · Posted 6 years ago Top germ-x Posts: 5310 This post has been reported. You can't partition your O/S partition through windows, which is oyur "C" partition. The 71mb is reserved for windows7 boot files so you can't do anything with that unless you want to start from scratch. Looks like your "D" partition has 6.2 gb free + 22gb from "C" that comes to 28gb free. Problem is you can't take some from "C" and some from "D" and make another partition the way it is currently. You will have to delete "D" then shrink "C", then in the unallocated space make another new partition What are really trying to do??? Reports: · Posted 6 years ago Top butcherknife Posts: 5 This post has been reported. i was thinking i could shrink my C drive, specially since they're able to do it on tutorial videos and having only one partition, c. but anyway, you're suggesting i delete my D which is the recovery partition? can i make a recovery dvd and or partition image in case i need it later on? also, if i was to delete D's and merge it with C, would that then l

Run the Disk Cleanup Wizard, making sure to remove the hibernation file and all restore points. 2. Disable System Restore 3. Disable the pagefile ( Open up System in Control Panel, then Advanced System Settings \ Advanced \ Performance \ Advanced \ Change \ No Paging File. 4. Disable kernel memory dump.
