Posts: 16,038 Failed to allocate memory can also occur when things like virus scanners cut off sufficient access to memory when needed; it's a general trend of several virus-scanning programs. Project64k sucks; the former error would be unique to that. Well, I don't have a virus scanner just the Comodo Firewall. That seems to be the problem. I guess I'll have to take a visit to their forums. Thanks for your help P.S More suggestions would

Mouser XMay 6th, 2006, 02:39My brother got WinXP to run off of an install that took up about 300-400mb of harddrive space. Considering that it usually takes nearly a gig, I'd say that's pretty good. However, he apparently removed some essential software, since he couldn't install, or uninstall, anything, including additional hardware, or software... He got it running in a much more useable manner at about 500mb. Though, that machine got fried (I think the power supply went bad), so he lost that install. He hasn't bothered to cut down on WinXP's install since then, so he's not to sure what you can remove without it not working anymore. Though, I suppose with the way HDDs are these days, 300-500mb isn't as big of a deal anymore as it once was. If I delete everything but "NetPlay" in the config folider, project64k will still give me the "Not enough Memory for Jump Table!" and "Failed to allocate Memory". But, if I only delete that and nothing else, I get "This application has failed to start because Config/Netplay.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem". Does that mean the error lies with "NetPlay"? 20th-May-201301:51 #17 MaslowK View Profile View Forum Posts View Blog Entries Visit Homepage wat Join Date Apr 2012 Location Seattle Posts 1,185 Thanks 85 Thanked 121 Times in 118 Posts EP Points 300 ^Not necessarily, chances are the program just checks to see if netplay.dll is there, then errs out when it's missing before it has the chance to get stuck on the original error.
