Join Now Hello All, A user on a one year old, powerful IBM Thinkpad laptop, running Windows 7 w/ 4GBs of RAM started getting " THERE IS https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/140021-how-to-fix-not-enough-memory-error-in-outlook NOT ENOUGH FREE MEMORY TO RUN THE PROGRAM. QUIT ONE OR MORE PROGRAMS AND THEN TRY AGAIN." error in Outlook 2007. We uninstalled Outlook and installed to a different directory. This worked for two http://windowssecrets.com/forums/showthread.php/144660-quot-Not-enough-memory-quot-message-maybe-archive-problem days and the error returned. Last time when this happened to him a year ago, reinstalling Outlook helped, but this time the problem returned two days later. The system has plenty of available RAM not enough (2.5GBs) and no other apps are running. This is a personal laptop, which connects to a POP3/SMTP account and uses PST files to store data. (Not Exchange). Anybody familiar with this issue? Can a windows update be causing this? Thank you! The "virtual memory" under Computer-> Properties -> Advanced System Settings -> Advanced -> Performance Options -> Advanced -> Virtual Memory, should be set to at least 2GB, and up to 4GB. Can you check this setting and post back? 0 Chipotle OP AlexJBC May 18, 2011 at 9:35 UTC I've had the issue here with a couple laptops with windows 7 32 bit and 4G of RAM. We had Dell replace the motherboard and replace the memory and still had the same issue. Dell suggested that we reformat the drive and load the 64 bit version of windows 7. Once we did that, we haven't had a problem since. We have plenty desktops that are on the 32 bit OS and this never happens. Only with the laptops. Of course if you're running the 64 bit OS, this means absolutely nothing to you... ;-) 0 Pimiento OP devilalyadav Mar 18, 2014 at 12:45 UTC 1st Post ibm is an IT service provider. create space in c drive and reconfigure pro
