We previously and still do have batch jobs scheduled to run within TOAD from our Windows Scheduler to PeopleSoft (Oracle). We are not experiencing a unique error of "ERROR: Not enough timers available" in which some jobs show as initiated but are never run or failed. I do not know if our above changes are the cause but has anyone encountered such an error? Below is a screen shot of the error: Create an account to join the discussion. The limit is, I believe, 32. I don't know if there is a limit in NT. -Michael Joachim Pimisker Delphi Developer Wed, 18 Jun 1902 08:00:00 not enough timers GMT Re:Exception: Not enough timers available Cool_Breeze, Quote>i have a server application that uses few timers. from time to time i get >this exception message >Not enough timers available add showMessage('Creating') to your form's OnCreate and showMessage('Destroying') to your form's OnDestroy. These use only one Windows timer: each pooled timer component is linked to one common timer-controller which maintains a sorted list of all active pooled-timers. The timer controller constantly sets the Windows timer t

My application only uses about 15 Ttimer components. Any Ideas what could be causing the problem? 0 Question by:wolsen Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 26 Best Solution byRussell Libby Just a comment (I do not want any points): You are correct about the window handle causing the error. Its about the ONLY way to force a SetTimer call to fail. Delphi sometimes is odd in its encapsulation (see the printer.pas :-) so I think that in this case you should limit the usage of ttimer objects that probably are not so stable. You could define an secondary thread in your application to control timed events... 0 LVL 2 Overall: Level 2 Delphi 2 Message Author Comment by:wolsen2004-01-19 The components are created at design time. 0 LVL 4 Overall: Level 4 Delphi 4 Message Expert Comment by:Colin_Dawson2004-01-19 If all your timers are one a single form, try spending a little time doing some cleanup, a
