I've just fixed this on a users PC by renaming their \Application Data\Microsoft\Office folder to \Application Data\Microsoft\Officebak This needs to be done whilst you are out of all office applications. Note that we have network profiles here so that folder is stored on a network server. On a standalone PC, I think it would be: c:\documents and settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Office It should contain files like Word11.pip, Excel11.pip and must have a folder called Recent in it. Next restart the PC, then log back in and restart outlook, it should be fine now.
