I the operation failed outlook 2007 can fixed the problem by going to File -> Options -> Mail and click on the operation failed outlook 2010 attachment the "Empty Auto-Complete List". I believe it's something with the email address format. When she copy\paste an email address on to a new email outlook 2010 the operation failed when sending email to multiple recipients and tries to email it, she gets the error. If I empty auto-complete list again and types in the email address she is able to send emails without any error. I can copy\paste the email address to a notepad http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_outlook-mso_other/operation-failed-error-when-sending-email-in/b2a52e89-84c6-436e-a373-a7f87c685b81 and then copy\paste the email address to a new email and works perfectly. Has anyone encounter the problem with copy\paste an email address and get the error, "The Operation Failed". Thanks. It still happens after Windows profile is deleted. Sep 10, 2014 Flag Post #3 Share Forum Admin Senior Member This is exchange, right? I know some imap servers have a problem with the single quotes outlook sometimes puts around an address but it should not affect exchange. what format is the address in? Any odd characters or unusual formatting? (like smtp=alias@domain) Sep 10, 2014 Flag Post #4 Share Hugo Escobar New Member Yes, this is Exchange 2010. SMTP. No add simple alias@domain format. What I did end up doing was editing the Cut. copy, and paste. Under File -> Options -> Mail -> Editor Options -> Advanced -> " Cut, Copy, and Paste". I change the pasting between emails when style definitions conflict to: Keep Text Only. Not sure if that was fix, but waiting on the user. Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now Hey Guys, I am receiving a very obtuse error message from Outlook, only affecting 1 user operation failed however. When sending emails; that is when she clicks on Send, she receives in an warning message dialog box with the word Operation Failed in the body and there is only an okay button to press, the title for the box is Microsoft Office Outlook. I have tried the obvious steps: 1. Re-create Email Profile with both Cached operation failed outlook mode on and off. 2. Deleted Office 2007 and installed Office 2010 3. Updated to the latest version. Looking into the error it states it may be a result if a user has gone over their mailbox quota, I have tried turning quota off, giving unlimited quota and also increasing quota size to an amount normally set on boxes and that has had no effect. I have read also it can be caused by the html email signature which I have tried removing, even tried sending the email in plain text. I've only been able to narrow it down to the fact it happens when she is replying to emails and she has a few emails open on the screen, every other program runs fine and running Outlook's Connection Status everything is fine. The user is connecting to a local Exchange 2007 server. Has anyone else been able to solve this annoying issue? (This was a regular email, with no attachments)So outlook basically was not functioning. Every email that I was trying to open gave me an error "cant open this item". Something has to do with Word maybe, since There is "Word" window on "the operation failed". But I can't disable Word in the Options because he likes to reply in red font. I reinstalled Outlook, and the problem persists. I recreated his profile and will see today if my boss gonna shoot me. I checked for spyware and fully patched this machine. his mailbox is on exchange and 5gb in size. i dont know what else can i try? bomb microsoft? I'm not sure why you think you can't disable Word. Under Tools/Options/Mail Format, uncheck the "Use Microsoft Word 2003...." options. Then set the message type to "Rich Text".
