downloaded MultiMC today after rebuilding my computer and getting windows 64 bit, I now need to add my account, however when i go to add it the bar gets about half way and stops giving me this error "Authentication operation failed due to a network error: Connection closed (2)" I'm on a wired network. (Note: I was trying to launch Alpha FTBLite 3 from FTB_Launcher which i already used to download the modpack) MultiMC member peterix commented Dec 30, 2014 Related info: http://pastebin.com/M57zzSNb OpenSSL lib dependencies are OK. It seems like MultiMC is somehow blocked from accessing the mojang auth server. If other launchers work, make sure MultiMC is not blocked by the firewall. 1726379897 commented Dec 30, 2014 I reset my modem and Router and it worked again (Closing this thread) thanks for the help. 1726379897 closed this Dec 30, 2014 MultiMC member peterix commented Dec 30, 2014 Alright. Check your connections and try again." Only one person in our organization is getting this error randomly when opening messages. We have not been able to see a pattern (type of email, format, size, attachments, etc) to the cause of the error. We're running Exchange 5.5 SP4 on an NT 4 SP6 machine. Client is running Outlook 2000 on Win2k Pro, using Word https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/20468154/The-operation-failed-due-to-network-or-other-communication-problems.html 2000 as default email editor. I have checked the MS KB, only articles related were with running NAV and Outlook/Word as email. I tried renaming the normal.dot and email.dot templates, but it didn't help. Any help/ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 0 Question by:scottnewman Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 21 Best Solution bytraval Are you running AV software, and have you tried disabling it if so to see if the problem recurs? Also try starting Outlook in Safe Mode to see if the error continues, click START->RUN, then : "Outlook.exe /safe" (without the quotation marks) This error can also occur if the Word Document class ID data in the registry is damaged. You can try these steps to check/repair that: 1. Exit both Word and Outlook 2. Start REGEDIT and delete the following registry key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{0
