Windows Cannot Connect To The Printer Error 0x00000002
to vote Before anyone responds that the answer to this question is in the forums. Believe me I have spent several frustrating hours looking and https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2269296 have found no answer. That being said here is the issue: Have a Windows 7 64 Bit Laptop and a Windows 7 64 Bit Tower. I have an HP Officejet J5780. I have an ATTUverse Network at the house. The tower is connected directly to the router with an ethernet https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/e545c058-cb91-4ea7-bbe6-094424e64d38/windows-cannot-connect-to-the-printer-error-0x0000052e?forum=w7itprogeneral cable, the laptop is connected through the wifi. There is a USB connection from the printer to the tower. The local printer setup on either computer works correctly. On both computers I have turned off all firewall and anti-virus software completely. Both computers are joined to a HomeGroup that I established on the Tower. All media and document sharing works correctly under the current setup. The printer software and all drivers are installed on both computers. The printer is shared to the Homegroup with full access rights. I have rebooted both computers multiple times as I have been through my own trouble shooting processes. I have confirmed and reconfirmed that all connections are open, all firewalls and av down, all drivers have been rolledback and re-updated, and all devices operating from fresh reboots. Here is the problem - When I try to add (to the laptop without direct connect

The domain has 2 networked printers available on the W2K3 server. When I attempt to install one of them (HP970C and a HP5MP) operation failed the wizards see the printers and guide me to the install, but when I select the desired printer, I just get a "connecting to printer" dialog, and nothing ever happens. I've tried this with two different W7 systems with identical results. The printers work fine with the other Vista and XP systems. I think it worked OK on a W7x86 install I tried previously (not 100% positive, though). The net is that I cannot connect to networked printers. Any ideas operation failed with out there? Thanks! Gray you need to use the vista x64 driver/software now instead of x86 if you think thats what you had working... may also not work with x64 edition as of yet My System Specs System Manufacturer/Model Number CUSTOM OS XP/win7 x86 build 7127 CPU Athlon64 X2 DUAL 4200+ 2.21ghz Motherboard ASUS K8 PRO SLI Memory 2GB Dual Chan DDR2 Corsair Graphics Card Nvidia 6800GT Sound Card nvidia Monitor(s) Displays 19' LCD Screen Resolution 1280x1024 Keyboard MS wireless Mouse MS Wireless PSU coolermaster 450 Case SUPERFLOWER Cooling 1 HDD bay fan, 5x80mm Case Fans, AEROGATE II Fan/Temp Hard Drives WD 250, 2x500, 2x1TB IDE/USB WD 250 SATA (system) SEAGATE 120 Sata Internet Speed fassssssssst Digger View Public Profile Find More Posts by Digger 24 Feb 2009 #3 gmccord Vista 13 posts I think the OS discovers and installs whatever drivers it needs. I've never had to do anything special for theHP printers. Interesting

That is, with the following values set in ldap.toml: search_filter = "(userPrincipalName=%s)" [servers.attributes] ... username = "userPrincipalName" email = "mail" ... It works the first time a particular user tries to log in, but then on a subsequent login attempts you see an error like this in grafana.log: [login.go:101 LoginPost()] [E] Error while trying to authenticate user: UNIQUE constraint failed: user.email It seems Grafana is trying to create a new user every time, instead of realising that the user trying to login already exists. Thus, the unique constraint on the email field is failing. When, eg, sAMAccountName is used as the value of username, everything works fine - both on login attempt 1, and on subsequent login attempts. The values of these two attributes for me are: userPrincipalName: Kenneth.MacArthur@company.com sAMAccountName: Kenneth.MacArthur Could the issue be the at sign in userPrincipalName? It is slightly unclear exactly how the matching of existing users takes place - it seems like a little bit of black magic. ;) Otherwise, I would be happy to help debug this further. I'm running Grafana v2.5.0. Grafana member torkelo commented Dec 4, 2015 matching is done on email and username Grafana member torkelo commented Dec 4, 2015 you can enable logging and see what ldap attributes are fetched. I guess the email property is not being matched correctly. Check that your ldap email property is correct or set it to userPrincipalName torkelo closed this Dec 4, 2015 kennethmac2000 commented Dec 4, 2015 When you say matching is done on email and username, do you mean that the values of both have to match for an LDAP user to be considered an existing user (ie, it's an AND condition)? If so, why have a unique constraint on email by itself? kennethmac2000 commented Dec 4, 2015 I
