the Archive folders BUT...it also wipes out ALL OF MY CUSTOMIZATION...RULES...ADDRESS BOOK...FORMAT OF FOLDERS, etc. This is unacceptable! I've spent too much time getting this stuff set the way I want it.Yes, I know I can IMPORT the address book and the rules but, it's the Folder Format and the Shortcuts to the folders plus some other niceties that I lose. Can someone tell me what to look for in the "Object not found"? All I want to do is close Archive Folders.I did an Archive consisting of almost 700 MB, yes, that's right, 700 MB of files and IT ATTACHED ITSELF RIGHT BACK TO OUTLOOK! What good is archiving to reduce application size when you can't get rid of the archive from the app???PLEASE GIVE ME SOME GOOD NEWS! Steps I took in vail: Cleared forms cache in Outlook Ran detect/repair option from Outlook Deleted Outlook Profile, rebooted, setup profile again the operation failed. an object cannot be found outlook 2007 tasks Uninstalled and reinstalled Office suites including Outlook. Working Solution: Continue to investigate and found out other users are working fine in Outlook on my machine, and I did not have any problem on other machine with http://www.techrepublic.com/forums/discussions/outlook-2003the-operation-failed-an-object-could-not-be-found-error/ my own logon. So the conclusion was that there was some thing wrong with my local setting in my profile on this machine. After researching on the Internet, got an instruction as the following: Try deleting the "frmcache.dat" file (or renaming it frmcache.bak if you areof a nervous disposition), because it's probably corrupt. It can be found in "Local Settings\application data\microsoft\forms". When you re-open Outlook it will re-create the file, and the http://lichao.net/eblog/how-to-resolve-the-object-could-not-be-found-issue-in-outlook-2003-20070982.html problem will (hopefully) be gone. I closed my outlook and did the step above, when I re-start the Outlook, wola~~~, everything is working back fine now. Hope it will be helpful for you too.
