An object could not be found (4 posts) Started 7 years outlook operation failed calendar ago by garrod76 Latest reply from WhyOutlookWhy Topic Viewed 35718 times garrod76 Posts: 2 This post has outlook operation failed when sending meeting request been reported. I have tried to find an answer for this problem, and although I found similar questions and suggested answers in different groups (even from the Microsoft Office site), I https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2763886 don't have a solution yet. Here is my best shot at describing the problem: I use Outlook 2007 and Vista. The To-do bar does not show the tasks portion, only an error message in its place: "The operation failed. An object could not be found". This has been the case for a while, no matter if I restart the program or http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/outlook-2007-the-operation-failed-an-object-could-not-be-found the computer. The To-do bar shows the calendar and appointments, which I like, but the problem is with the tasks. Also, when I go to the Calendar folder, the "daily task list" (which I have checked to show in the view options) does not show, and instead the same error message appears. Otherwise email, calendar, contacts and notes work fine. When I go to the Tasks folder, on the panel to the left, under "My Tasks" I see two groups: "To-do list" and "Tasks". Every time I go to the Tasks folder the program goes by default to the "To-do list" group, and I don't see any item, only an error message that says "Cannot display the folder". When I click on the next group "Tasks", then all tasks that I have show up, but still they do not show in the To-do bar or in the Calendar view. I found in the Microsoft side a suggested "workaround" to right-click the personal folder, click Properties, click to select the Display reminders and tasks from this folder in the To-Do Bar check box, an

Join Now Hey Guys, I am receiving a very obtuse error message from Outlook, only affecting 1 user however. When sending emails; https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/151268-outlook-2007-2010-operation-failed that is when she clicks on Send, she receives in an warning message dialog box with http://searchexchange.techtarget.com/answer/Outlook-error-The-operation-failed-An-object-could-not-be-found the word Operation Failed in the body and there is only an okay button to press, the title for the box is Microsoft Office Outlook. I have tried the obvious steps: 1. Re-create Email Profile with both Cached mode on and off. 2. Deleted Office 2007 and installed Office 2010 3. Updated to the latest version. Looking into the error it operation failed states it may be a result if a user has gone over their mailbox quota, I have tried turning quota off, giving unlimited quota and also increasing quota size to an amount normally set on boxes and that has had no effect. I have read also it can be caused by the html email signature which I have tried removing, even tried sending the email in plain text. I've only been able to narrow it down to the operation failed outlook fact it happens when she is replying to emails and she has a few emails open on the screen, every other program runs fine and running Outlook's Connection Status everything is fine. The user is connecting to a local Exchange 2007 server. Has anyone else been able to solve this annoying issue? Is this problem happening everytime the person sends an email ? Is it to one email address only or everyone ? Have you tried sending internally and externally ? Have you considered trying the user on another machine as a test to see if it's just a machine issue, if so you could setup a new windows user profile just incase that's corrupt. 0 Serrano OP Carol Nestor Aug 11, 2011 at 8:44 UTC I've seen something like this before, but it only affected 1 message. And it was from someone overseas. It still happens occasionally. Turned out it was the message that was causing the problem. Have you tried copy
