Either way, I would recommend using the application repair feature to correct this - Control Panel -> Programs and Features https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/312354 -> Select Office and click "Change" Select "Repair" and then "Continue" 0 Datil OP shatteredhourglass Dec 11, 2012 at 10:42 UTC 2010, sorry. Fixed in the OP. Even just now I typed 2012, then had to backspace to change to 2010. Guess I am just used to typing the current year. Anyways, repair did not fix it. I have deleted the account and tried to re-add it, to no avail. Also, I tried to add the account to another computer with Outlook, same https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/281908-outlook-object-cannot-be-found-0x8004010f error. I have contacted Godaddy and they say it is not their issue, and suggested many things that did not fix it. I still think it is their problem. 0 Thai Pepper OP The.Smorg Dec 11, 2012 at 11:04 UTC Empact IT is an IT service provider. An "object cannot be found" error usually indicates an issue with Outlook, not a connecting service, though you tossed that one out of the window. You didn't happen to use the same PST file on the other computer did you? 0 Datil OP shatteredhourglass Dec 11, 2012 at 11:21 UTC No. I manually added the account, which is another person's account (not even my domain,) on my computer, which has working accounts on it. 0 Thai Pepper OP Galen in Laguna Dec 12, 2012 at 1:04 UTC BTW Godaddy servers suck. Email is slow, the control panel is horribly clunky, their IMAP implodes when syncing on iPhone/iPads with lots of mail, and formmail only sends once every 15 minutes. Not good if you are trying to make an online lunch order form for restaurants, the customers get there before the email does...... thier performance is not acceptable in modern 2012 imho 0 Thai Pepper OP The.Smorg Dec 12, 2012 at 1:08 UTC Empact IT is an IT service provider. Maybe link the account to a Gmail or Outlook.com account using POP, and then use that service's IMAP function? 0 Datil OP shat

This can actually be caused by a number of issues, such as: Corrupt rules Broken search folders Corrupt Outlook profile To fix this issue, try the following (in order of less destructive) Run Outlook.exe /cleanrules from the command line. This will remove all rules from Outlook and Exchange. Delete all search folders and create a default search folder with Unread mail as the default Re-create the Outlook profile. This is a last resort, but in most cases will work. This indicates something wrong with the local configuration of the Outlook profile Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading... An object could not be found” Error This Outlook error “The attempted operation failed. An object could not be found” usually occurs when you try to send emails. This article concludes 6 valid solutions to this problem. Virtually two kinds of causes can bring about “The attempted operation failed. An object could not be found” error. That is Outlook misconfiguration and Outlook corruption. Here are 6 telling approaches to this problem. 1. Check if Outlook Is in Compatibility Mode To begin with, you need to ensure that Outlook isn’t in compatibility mode. If it is, you should straight away correct it. Follow the steps below. In "Start Menu", fill “outlook.exe” in search box and then the corresponding program will show up. Right click it and choose “Properties” from the popup menu. In the new dialog box, head to “Compatibility” tab, under which you should check if the option “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” is selected or not. If selected, please deselect it at once. And restart Outlook to send emails again. If unselected, it is likely that the problem lies in the other causes. 2. Create a New Profile Another must-known reason for this issue is corrupted mail profile. So you should try to create a new profile to fix the error. At the outset, close Outlook and access to ““Control Panel””. Then locate and click on “Mail” applet. In the new popup dialog box, click “Show Profiles” button. In the next dialog, click “Add” to create a new profile. Later you will be required to add account. Just follow the onscreen instructions to finish it. Eventually after creating a new profile, you can try to send email again. If succeed, the problem is solved. If the error persists, then you need to consider if antivirus software is to blame. 3.
