An object cannot be https://www.spark.co.nz/help/internet-email/troubleshooting/outlook-error-object-could-not-be-found/ found.' when running Send/receive in Outlook 2010. Can receive emails, but not send. I have search, but am only finding solutions for Exchange issues. This is a Godaddy IMAP mail account. Any suggestions? Outlook 2010 or 2013? Either way, I would recommend using the application repair feature to correct this - Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Select Office and click "Change" Select "Repair" and then "Continue" 0 Datil OP shatteredhourglass Dec 11, 2012 at 10:42 UTC 2010, sorry. Fixed in the OP. Even just now I typed 2012, then had to backspace to change to 2010. Guess I am just used to typing the current year. Anyways, repair did not fix it. I have deleted the account and tried to re-add it, to no avail. Also, I tried to add the account to another computer with Outlook, same error. I have contacted Godaddy and they say it is not their issue, and suggested many things that did not fix it. I still think it is their problem. 0 Thai Pepper OP The.Smorg Dec 11, 2012 at 11:04 UTC Empact IT is an IT service provider. An "object cannot be found" error usually indicates an issue with Outlook, not a connecting service, though you tossed that one out of the wind

This can actually be caused by a number of issues, such as: Corrupt rules Broken search folders Corrupt Outlook profile To fix this issue, try the following (in order of less destructive) Run Outlook.exe /cleanrules from the command line. This will remove all rules from Outlook and Exchange. Delete all search folders and create a default search folder with Unread mail as the default Re-create the Outlook profile. This is a last resort, but in most cases will work. An object could not be found. October 20, 2015 By Gareth Gudger 4 Comments 18 Shares Share Tweet +1 Share RedditWhile working on a Cutover migration for Office 365 I ran into an error with the default search folders in Outlook. The data had migrated successfully. The Outlook profiles were recreated. Mail was flowing. However, when clicking on the Unread Mail folder it resulted in the following error. This same error occurred when clicking on other search folders; such as Categorized Mail, or, Large Mail. Thankfully the fix was incredibly simple. What exactly are Search Folders? Search Folders are a virtual folder that contain items based on criteria you specify. For a full list of all available search criteria click the Folder tab >> New Search Folder button. This will display a dialog allowing you to create a Search Folder from twelve different templates. Each template requires user input to define what the Search Folder should display. For example, Large Mail requires you to set the threshold for what you consider large. This number is configured in kilobytes and defaults to 100 KB. If we kept the default value anything over 100 kilobytes will be displayed in this folder. In addition this dialog grants you the option to create a custom Search Folder. You can specify countless different criteria on these three tabs creating an endless set of combinations. But what about the error? Fix "The attempted operation failed. An object could not be found." To fix this error right click on the search folder in question-in our case Unread Mail-select Customize This Search Folder from the context menu. This will bring up the Customize dialog box. You may notice the "Mail from these folders…" is blank. It
