Sometimes you can get this error if you are using Microsoft Word as your message editor. Here is how to check, and change that setting: On the Outlook menu bar select Tools > Options Click on the Mail Format tab. Make sure the "Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages" checkbox is not selected. I have not found out why this is a problem (yet) and I have a few users who ARE using Word as their e-mail editor with out any problems. This is an external email and I would like to forward it to an internal coworker, as it could be beneficial to them. When I add the person in the "To" line, and click send, I'm getting a Microsoft Word dialogue https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/22533168/Outlook-2003-giving-a-Microsoft-Word-unspecified-error-when-forwarding.html box that says "Unspecified Error". I'm assuming that is has to do with the webpage that is in the body of the email. Is there a way to get around this? Thanks. 0 Question by:punchie123 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 97 Best Solution bywar1 Greetings punchie123 ! You probably have MS Word as editor. Temporarily disable MS Word as editor. I'm also getting a gcasDtserv.exe not responding upon shutting down/rebooting. In addtion there is a res://ieframe.dll/preview.dlg issue. I'm guessing there is an issue in the registry. While researching I saw a post that described this issue and that Microsoft has a solution, but according to the poster it didn't work either. Now I have to see if I can find that post again BuzWeaver View Public Profile Find all posts by BuzWeaver #7 November 8th, 2007, 06:47 PM BuzWeaver Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 O/S: Windows 10 Home Location: Atlanta, GA - USA Age: 49 Posts: 386 This corrected it: Email Word Issue In Tools>Options>Mail Format Uncheck> Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages.
