Bryan Taylor Guest I am running multiple profiles in Outlook 2003 SP3 on one user acct in XP Pro SP3. The only recent change to the computer configuration was the installation of the XP SP3. Everything has been working fine (at least I didn't notice any http://www.office-forums.com/threads/error-opening-notes-folder-in-outlook-2003.1473462/ problems) until I updated my Blackberry sync software. Now I get the message "Function OpenMsgStore failed" whenever trying to sync the notes folder in one specific profile. Other profiles seem to work fine. When I open Outlook I can display the notes folder by selecting it from the folder list in the left hand pane or menu, however if I select (or open in a new window) the notes folder using the notes shortcut button at the bottom of the left hand pane I get outlook 2003 the error "Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook could not access the specified folder location." If I then select the Notes folder using the icon at the top of the left hand pane, it displays properly. I read several articles here and spoke to Blackberry tech support - both suggested my profile may have become corrupt. I created a new profile from scratch added the .pst file containing my data. Both Outlook and Blackberry sync still had the same error behaviour using outlook 2003 notes this new profile. The .pst file is 966 MB. I ran the scanpst tool and it reported and repaired several errors: ??BBT entry (3B15DA) has different refcount in RBT (3 vs 2) ??Couldn't find BBT entry in the RBT (3B15F6) ??Couldn't find BBT entry in the RBT (3B15FC) ??Couldn't find BBT entry in the RBT (3B1604) ... !!Folder invalid high-water-mark (nidi=3F0F, nidiHigh=3F94) !!Hierarchy Table for 122, row doesn't match sub-object: irow = 0, RowID = 2223 !!Contents Table for 8042, row doesn't match sub-object: irow = 255, RowID = 20DF44 !!Contents Table for 8042, row doesn't match sub-object: irow = 244, RowID = 20D424 ... Running the scanpst tool now says there are no errors in the .pst but everything still behaves with the same errors. Any help how to fix this?
