as this that Sage has to address. Cancel WESCT 5 Dec 2012 1:12 AM I too experienced a problem with WIndows 8, wanted a specific machine, however, it is unavailable in WIndows 7. That is becoming the norm. I had WIndows 8 and Sage working for email, however, a WIndows update removed that function.Windows 8 has been in beta for some time and given all the effort Sage makes to encourage software updates, it is a very poor response on their part. My call to Sage produced no time line for a fix, no assistance or suggestions at all. So much for the value of the support plan. They need to allocate resources on technical areas, not just marketing. Cancel jdslivinski 12 Dec 2012 10:42 AM I am glad it is not just me then. This will probably be my last purchase from them. I specifically asked before I upgraded if it worked and was supported and the salesperson said yes. Now they won't get back to me about it. I spoke with the company that actually built the driver/printer function and they just laughed and said Sage knew it didn't work. There are known compatibility issues with Sage 8 https://sagecity.na.sage.com/support_communities/sage50_accounting_us/f/132/t/45865 that are outlined in Answer ID 31227. Cancel jakewardh 4 Feb 2013 1:09 PM I use Peachtree 2012 and ran into the same problem. I found a work around that worked for me. I run peachtree in compatiblity mode for Windows 7 as an administrator.Right click on your Peachtree icon and click properties. Click on the compatibility tab. Check the box that says run this program in compatibility mode for. Then select Windows 7. Also check the box in the Privilege Level to run as the administrator.I also ran into a problem when I installed Office 2013. Outlook crashed every time I sent an email. So I installed Mozilla's Thunderbird and set it to my default email application. No more problems!Hope this helps everyone.
