you for using Microsoft Office for IT Professionals Forums. From your description, I understand thatyou want to allow changes by more than one user at the same time in PowerPoint . If there is any misunderstanding, please feel free to let me know. In Microsoft PowerPoint 2010, multiple authors can simultaneously change the same presentation stored on a server. The new co-authoring functionality in Microsoft Office 2010 makes it possible for multiple users to work productively on the same document without intruding on one another’s work or locking each other out. More detailed information you can refer to this article Work on a presentation at the same time as your colleagues http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint-help/work-on-a-presentation-at-the-same-time-as-your-colleagues-HA010344967.aspx#BM2 Please take your time to try the suggestions and let me know the results at your earliest convenience. If anything is unclear or if there is anything I can do for you, please feel free to let me know. Hope that helps. few minutes. Join Now I have an issue with powerpoint 2010 64bit on a windows 7 machine where the user is using offline files. The issue is the user can work ok for 5 -10mins and save ok, but then powerpoint will switch the file to being read only and cannot save the file as that name anymore (this is said on the title bar). The user has full permissions and is the only person who has access so it is not open twice. I have found this on the MS website but Microsoft have failed to answer the question: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/officeitpro/thread/ef1f09a2-c406-45e5-8cc7-ac241a313143 Thanks Martyn Reply Subscribe RELATED TOPICS: PowerPoint 2010 Display Issue PowerPoint 2010 Shutting Off? I will get the user to test using a local file to see if this replicates the same issue. 0 Tabasco OP ProfessorCunningFox Oct 28, 2011 at 4:47 UTC Ahh, get them to copy to desktop and open and work on it from there for a short while 0 Poblano OP Martyn6147 Nov 3, 2011 at 5:22 UTC The local copy does not replicate the issus so it appears to be linked to offline files. It is very bizzare as there are 20 other uses with the same environment but not experiencing the same issue. 0 Tabasco OP ProfessorCunningFox Nov 3, 2011 at 5:29 UTC The only thing I can think of is either the system is timing out, or a profile issue, hav
