with Office Communicator: This is caused by the certificate on the server there was a problem verifying the certificate from the server skype for business 2015 not matching the host name you are trying to connect to. Typically this is because the _sipinternaltls SRV record in https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2014466 DNS is pointing to a physical OCS server instead of the pool name and the certificate on the server is (rightfully) issued for the pool name. Adding Subject Alternate Names in the certificate for the physical server(s) is not the right https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/kpalmvig/2009/01/07/troubleshoot-office-communicator-problem-verifying-certificate/ approach to solve this issue. After correcting the SRV record, remember to flush the DNS cache on the client. all users. I am new to this position and am unfamiliar http://www.networksteve.com/windows/topic.php/Office_Communicator_2007_%22There_was_a_problem_verifying_the_cert/?TopicId=60517&Posts=0 with how the Communicator server is setup. I am unsure as to where to look and where to start. We are using Office https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/23408390/There-was-a-problem-verifying-the-certificate-from-the-server.html Communicator 2007 R2 running on a VM with Server 2003 R2. This is the only application being used on this host. Any ideas there was on where to start looking? Thanks for the help Edited by Jenebo Monday, November 21, 2011 3:00 PM November 21st, 2011 5:38pm From all of the answers that I found on this error subject, I feel that it needs to be said that the certificate held there was a under IIS manager server certificates on the OCS server itself can cause this ("There was a problem verifying the certificate from the server") if it has expired. It is worth looking at IIScertificates if you have this error. We recently moved over to a new OCS 2007 server. On some - not all of the clients I get his error: "There was a problem verifying the certificate from the server." When the users get on another PC it works. Any ideas? I have already tried clearign internet cache and importing the certificate via IE on the client PC. No success... thx. 0 Question by:transwestern Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 12 Best Solution bynsx106052 I would imagine you are using a certificate from an internal certificate authority. If you are you will need to copy the cert from the certificate authority and add it to the trusted certificates. Then that problem should go away. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb735413.aspx You can also try requesting another certificate on the client computer. http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/7e918937-b0cc-4094-9009-4e0798986bef1033.mspx?mfr=true 0 Message Author Comment by:transwestern2008-05-23 thx! 0 Message Active 4 days ago Expert Comment by:Mark__Munro2010-02-21 Bang on ...!
