We currently have iTunes on the Time Capsule and from what I have read on your link, that may be a conflict with the sparsebundle. Also, if I have another hard drive for iTunes can I back it up onto the Time Capsule? Yes if you can erase the drive I think that will solve it. Turn off Time Machine.Go to Applications/Utilities and open Disk Utility choose the drive on the left and go to Erase on the right. Since it is used I would choose the option to Zero Out Data it will make sure there are no bad blocks. It may take a while if you do that but it maps out bad sectors. Restart and select it as your backup. Ask Your Own Mac Question Customer: replied6 years ago. I have another sparsebundle backup on that drive for another machine. It is fine. I really do not want to erase the drive and wipe out that backup. So far, I have not received an answer as to what this error means and what causes it. Expert: Mike replied6 years ago. Error numbers don’t really tell you anything. There is something wrong with the drive, you need to reformat it. I don‘t think using the same drive for two backups is going to work. Ask Your Own Mac Question Customer: replied6 years ago. "I don‘t think using the same drive for two backups is going to work."I don't buy that.
