PROJECTS Domain migration Myself and a co-worker migrated our office from a linux-centric (openldap, Cyrus) domain to a windows domain while only purchasing one new machine thanks to virtualization. Could be a corruption on the install disk, or hard drive. I'd try a second installation disk unknown hard error first though. 1 Habanero OP Michael (Netwrix) May 12, 2014 at 3:06 UTC Brand Representative for Netwrix You can find the official information about this error here. I think this is a hardware problem but firstly try to install windows using alternative distribution package, if the problem persists you need to check hardware: 1) Disconnect all connectors from the motherboard, disconnect RAM and connect it again. Redo the installation. 2) If the problem persists, try to connect hard drive with another connector. 3) If the problem persists, try to use 1 RAM blade(if there is multiple ones), disconnect the others. 4) If the problem persists, reset BIOS 5) If the problem persists, check hard drive and RAM for errors(use utilities like Memtest, checkdisk...etc) 1 Chipotle OP chrism1981 May 12, 2014 at 3:27 UTC Morrison Technical Services Ltd is an IT service provider. Seen this sort of thing on Dell PC's, In the BIOS go to Advanced and change the drive type tofrom ACPI to ATA and then try reinstalling 0 Thai Pepper OP Antonio1984 May 12, 2014 at 3:35 UTC Errors during the installation of an O.S. 99% of the times mean a hardware failure. In your case, this could be either faulty RAM (very likely) or bad sectors on the HDD. 0 Sonora O
