MAKING A GRINDING NOISE WHEN PRINTING Q: I have an hp laserjet 4250 making a grinding noise when it prints. The printer as far as I can tell seems to be functioning fine, in the sense that there are no reoccurring paper jams 60.02 error code or image defects. When we look closer at the machine it seems like the noise is

coming from the rear of the printer. I cant really see anything from that angle, but am afraid to pull it apart for

fear of not putting it back together properly. Any ideas A: HP laserjet 4250 grinding noise is a very common problem with these printers. Mostly it stems from the hp 4250 fuser assembly and the 4250 swing plate assembly http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Inkjet-Printing/60-02-Error/td-p/5044277 not properly engaging each other due to worn down gears. When the gears become worn they will not properly align and you will start to hear the grinding noises that you are describing. This is a problem that if not addressed will result in paper jams and an ultimate shutting down of the 4250 printer. Replacing the hp laserjet 4250 swing plate assembly and the hp laser 4250 fuser assembly will resolve your grinding noise while printer issue https://www.laserzone123.com/4250-error-codes.html HP LASERJET 4250 PERFORM PRINTER MAINTENANCE MESSAGE Q: I have an hp laserjet 4250 perform printer maintenance message on the display panel of my printer. The printer has yet to stop running but I am concerned that something bad will happen if I keep printing on it. Do you have any suggestions as to why this perform printer maintenance message has popped up and is there anything that I can do to clear this message? A: When your hp laserjet 4250 perform printer maintenance message appears on your display panel it is time to install a hp laserjet 4250 maintenance kit (q5421a). The printer is programmed to display that message after 200,000 pages have been printed out of the printer. The rollers and fuser assembly are rated for 200,000 prints give or take depending on operating environment and media. Much like any other consumable part, after a certain amount of use they are required to be replaced. Purchasing a maintenance kit and installing will get your HP laserjet 4250 running as it should.
