UpdateGlobalAddressList -Identity "Global Address List" -DomainController "YourDomainControllerName" Go to the EMC > Organization Configuration > Mailbox Node > Offline Address book tab and click update on the Default OAB, 3. Then check the “Date modified” attribute of LZX files under …\Exchange Server\ExchangeOAB 4. Restart “Microsoft Exchange File Distribution” service, 5. Then check the “Date modified” attribute of LZX files under …\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\OAB 6. If both “Date modified” attribute is the latest time, it means you have update OAB successfully. 7. Force Outlook updating OAB. 8. Restart Outlook or press “Send/Receive” and click “send/Receive Groups” now click “Download Address Book” 9. Another good trick I learned a little while ago that may help is to right-click the Outlook icon in the system tray while holding down Ctrl, which reveals an extra diagnostic option called 'Test E-mail Autoconfiguration'. That threw up a problem which very quickly led to the root cause when I last saw this error. Sept. 2010] A detailed look at understanding how the Offline Address Book is created and distributed via web-based distribution in Exchange 2010. http://www.msexchange.org/articles-tutorials/exchange-server-2010/management-administration/offline-address-book-part1.html If you would like to read the first part of this article series please go to: The Offline Address Book (Part 2) The Offline Address Book (Part 3 The Offline http://support.sherweb.com/Faqs/Show/how-to-download-your-offline-address-book-in-outlook-2010-exchange-2007 Address Book (Part 4) Introduction When Outlook users are running in cached mode or otherwise disconnected from t heir Exchange infrastructure, they rely on the Offline Address Book (OAB) to address book provide them with access to one or more address lists that are always available when they are connected directly to Exchange. Since a large majority of deployments now use Outlook in cached mode, correct access to the OAB is a key feature of those Exchange deployments. Such issues can occur without taking into consideration any errors that may be present within the OAB rebuild process. Specifically, a system public folder is used with replicas of this public folder spread throughout the Exchange infrastructure for resilience. This is the method supported by Outlook 2003 and earlier versions of the Outlook client. Prior to the release of Exchange 2007, Microsoft announced that it was effectively de-emphasizing the role of public folders and therefore needed a way to distribute the OAB without using system public folders.
