After moved a few mailboxes onto the new Exchange 2010 servers. Those moved users who use Outlook 2003 complained they got 0x8004010F error when click Send/Receive. Outlook 2010 and 2007 users are fine without issue. I checked the permission settings on OAB Versioin X folders. Not sure if this is the problem? I guess it should have nothing to do with Administrative Rights? In addition, I checked folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\OAB, there is nothing in it! Isn't there should be a OAB created? I checked Public Folder replications in Exchange 2003 and 2010. Can see both server in the replication list... And it should be replicated already, as I can use my domain adminaccount from Outlook 2003 without issue... I am puzzled, any help will be appreciated. The KB article that BizDPS said helped him, did not help me: Exchange Server 2007 address book In Exchange Management Console, expand Server Configuration, and then click Mailbox. In the Database Management window, right-click Properties on the mailbox store. Click the Client Settings tab, click Browse, and then click the appropriate offline address book. Click OK two times. It seems as though when I look into the EMC for Exchange offline address book 2010, step #3 above does not apply, there is no "client settings" tab :(, just "general" and "status" tabs. This seems to only be an issue on the outlook 2003 clients, the 2007, and 2010 clients do not seem to get this error. These machines are also up to date as far as I know (service packs wise). *Something I noticed was that the client was also not able to manually download the GAL when forced to, and I noticed that one of the entries on the clients machine (in the GAL) was not on the exchange server anymore (it was removed at least 6 months ago). But sometimes, Exchange Server may generate some unexpected error. Suppose, if your organization has an offline address list generation server that is running Exchange 2007 or 2010, you may face the following issues: Scenario 1: When you try to synchronize the offline address list in Microsoft office Outlook 2003 or in Outlook 2007 with cache mode enabled, you may receive the following error message in the Sync Issues folder: ‘Microsoft Exchange offline address book Not downloading Offline address book files. A server (URL) could not be located. 0X8004010F' Scenario 2: When you try to synchronize the offline address list in MS Office Outlook 2007 or in Outlook 2003 with cache mode disabled. You may receive the following error message: Task reported error (0x8004010F): ‘The operation failed. An object cannot be found.' Reasons of the error occurrence: Some of the most common reason why Outlook client receive such type of error are as follows: This type of error occurs when Outlook client is configured to use proxy settings and Windows Internet Explorer is used. When OAB (Offline Address Book) version 2, OAB version 3, or OAB version 4 system folder is missing from the public folder store. Also, when all Address Lists or All Global Address Lists containers contain sub-containers instead of just address list objects. And when offline address list was deleted and again recreated with the same name. However, there are many approaches through which we can resolve the above mentioned type of error. Few are mentioned below- Method 1: Start Internet Explorer, click Tools and then click Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click LAN settings. Select the Bypass proxy server for local addresses check box and then click Advanced. Type the FQDN of the Exchange 2007 CAS server, and then click OK. Finally, restart Out
