As3 Error 1119
letter-case of folder up vote 0 down vote favorite After updating some sound files in the .fla library, I started getting 5001 (name of package does not reflect location) errors for every file in an unrelated folder. I understand the 5001 error, had it many times during development, but it was usually a case of a package typo, or a file in the wrong folder. Here, however,
As3 Error 1120
it seems to be some sort of letter case issue. In the "Location" section of the "Compiler Errors" output, it lists the locations of every error (ie, every class in the /options/ folder) as "C:\Users...\powerups\Options\ClassName.as", note the upper-case \Options. However, when I look at the (Windows) properties of any files in the /options/ folder, it confirms that the folder is lower-case, listing its location as "C:\Users...\powerups\options". When I let Flash auto-suggest the package path it just suggests what it already was. I fixed it on one occasion without changing anything by closing Flash and reopening, but then it starting occurring again after a few successful compiles. Have not had any luck since - tried recreating a fresh folder, letting Flash recreate the project files, and restarting. I'm fairly certain I haven't changed any relevant code - the only thing I've been doing is adding some sound clips to the library and updating old ones. actionscript-3 flash uppercase lowercase share|improve this question asked Oct 7 '12 at 12:51 Pinch 265 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote Are you shure that you have correct settings in the tab "Advanced ActionScript 3.0 S

how to solve this problem😀 Hope this helps you (reader) who are stuck in this error too. Below as3 error 2032 is the walkthrough on setting up your project packaging source path so you avoid that 5001 error. Assuming your project folder is located in your C drive C:\ Let's http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12768997/flash-as3-spontaneous-5001-error-relating-to-letter-case-of-folder call it PackageTest folder for this scenario C:\PackageTest Your fla is place inside C:\PackageTest Within the ‘PackageTest' folder contains a ‘com' folder The ‘com' folder contains another folder called ‘ayumilove' ‘ayumilove' folder contains the Game.as file In short: c:\PackageTest\com\ayumilove\Game.as Open Adobe Flash IDE (integrated development environment) and open up your .fla inside. Go to File, Publish Settings, switch to https://ayumiloveflash.wordpress.com/2010/09/14/actionscript-error-5001-the-name-of-package-does-not-reflect-the-location-of-this-file/ Flash Tab and click Settings This pops a new window ‘Advanced ActionScript 3.0 Settings' Switch to Source Path tab. Make sure the list has a dot . A dot represents the current location of the .fla that resides which is PackageTest. Adobe Flash will start looking into this location to search for the .as files. However, our Game.as is located in com.ayumilove 2 more folders deeper within PackageTest So make sure that your .as class has that included in package name package com.ayumilove { import flash.display.MovieClip; public class Game extends MovieClip { public function Game() { trace("Game Created"); } } } My Game.as will be the Main.as for the .fla So, returning back to the Adobe Flash Timeline, Open up your Properties Panel (CTRL+F3) or Windows, Properties Click on the stage, and set the class in Properties Panel as com.ayumilove.Game (NOT com.ayumilove.Game.as) CTRL+ENTER to test the file. It works! Extra notes: Assuming the location of both files are switched, meaning the Game.as now resides in the PackageTest and the .fla location now resides in Pac
