or so each time to fast forward to where I left off. I eventually gave up after about the fourth try and chatted with support. She said she can credit my account...and I guess that's where it was left. This week, I started receiving the error again when I was watching a free show on a premium channel. It happened four times l ast night alone. I eventually stopped the unplug option and gave up on the whole thing.First of all, this error is not new (search the boards). Secondly, I reported the error several weeks ago but giving a customer credit is a decent answer so it doesn't need to be escalated (??). Lastly, I just wrote a $172 check this month to Comcast which includes additional charges for OnDemand and the premium channel that I attempted to watch last night (and several weeks ago...) yet the error is keeping me from using those channels for the full amount that I pay each month. Can someone please provide an update on a fix for this? If it's in progress, what is the scheduled delivery date for the fix? Sending a service tech out is just like crediting my account...it's a temp fix with no follow through and permanent fix. Commonly, RF interference/ingress issues can cause this, caused by poor or damaged cabling. Check your connections, remove splitters if possible, and replace any worn or frayed cables or connectors. It's also possible the problem is farther upstream, so if you've done all that FIRST, and the problem is still occurring, call back to set up a service call. · actions · 2009-Apr-17 5:45 pm · wangerjoin:2008-04-20Reading, PA wanger to Robby321 Member 2009-Apr-17 7:22 pm to Robby321Sounds like the digital box isn't pulling an IP. The box might be in Mac Connect status. Try power cycling the box, unplug it and wait before plugging it back in. Wait for about 5-10 minutes before you try ON DEMAND. I would see if you could get the box a full hit and refresh. CAE's are do not have the power do perform a full hit(depending on your area), they only have the capability to send a refresh signal. Try replacing the box if the power cycle doesn't work. If you are insistent you might want to call a tech to come out. The tech's dispatcher has the ability to send the full hit and refresh. · actions · 2009-Apr-17 7:22 pm · beachintechThere's sand in my tool bagPremium
